No, you don't have to inform the USCIS about your new job. But you do have to let them know about your new address by filing an AR-11 either electronically or by mail.

You should only bring copies just in case the US embassy didn't receive them or misplaced them. They should have everything you sent the NVC though.

Hello all,

I am about to start the CR1 process and have the following doubts:

How many Bona fides of marriage should we send?

In the case of the IM transcripts and/or emails, should these be translated to english by a certified translator or could I do it myself?

Does the same apply for the Birth Certificate?

Thanks in advance for your guidance,

.poncho

i have been reading the guides for filing IR/CR visa. i have noticed in the checklist of required documents that only I-864 (affidavit of support form) is listed. the letter from NVC however provides for the I-864A form which should be filled up.

when is this form needed?

and who should sign this form?

thanks a lot

HI THERE EVERYBODY.I AM A JUNE FILER AND I HAVE BEEN KEEPING UP WITH EVERYONE'S STORY.I WISH LUCK TO ALL OFF YOU.

I DO HAVE A MINOR QUESTION ABOUT AOS I-864 .DOES ANYONE KNOW IF IT NEEDS TO BE NOTARIZED OR JUST SINGED AND DATED BY THE SPONSOR? THANK YOU.

I'm hoping someone can answer my question. My husband and I have filed for a K3 visa. He got his NOA2 for the I129f and the I130 in February and interviewed on the K3 in April. He got put in AP and was told at the time of his interview was due to his medical not being complete at the time of the interview (they notified us 20 days prior to his interview and we didn't have time to complete the entire medicals) Mand he should contact the embassy until they give him an appointment at the 1pm time. I have emailed them and keep receiving the same answer that he is in AP and they will contact us once the process is complete. My question: has anyone gone through something similar and then opted to file for the CR1/IR1 and how did that work out?? We have begun the process and I just want to prepare myself for what to expect. Thanks for your help regarding this.

Hi there:

I am planning to file I-130 petition for my wife living in Bangladesh. I am living in Bangladesh since Dec 2007. I have few questions:

Where should I file my I-130 application?

Should I file I-130 in USCIS or US embassy in Bangladesh? which way is faster......

My wife has only first & last name....no middle name. Should we keep middle name place blank or "NONE"? please advice.

Hi everyone. I am new to this Forum.

I wanted to know if after I apply for my husband (currently living in Sweden), is it possible for me to travel there and spend time with him while waiting? or I must stay in the US waiting for paperwork?

I would like to travel for only 60 to 90 days inmediately after applying for his I-130 or CR-1.

My second question is how do I know what center I will need to apply to? I am in Orlando, Florida.

Thank you

Vortex

Begin by understanding what your visa options really are.

Click here to view the IR-1 / CR-1 Guide or check out the Guides Section for more helpful information on Spousal Visa's, as well as other visa types that apply depending on where you and your spouse currently reside.

Once you file you will have several options available to track your case.

As a note: This visa option is automatically applied for by K-3 applicants when they file the I-130 (part of the K-3 process). Historically the K-3 was used to allow the US Citizens spouse to enter the US faster than waiting for the I-130 to be approved (since that used to take a long time). Recent reductions in processing times have allowed I-130's to be approved quick enough that the IR1/CR1 visa process has been a quicker and better option for K-3 applicants. If this happens the K-3 applicant can abandon the K-3 route and persue the IR1/CR1 instead.

We have filed our I-130 form, but my wife is on a I-94 visitors' visa, which expires on 12/2/09. What can we do so she does not have to leave the United States? We were married on 9/19/09. Thanks...need a fast reply!
