Hello Everyone!

I'm excited that we have an interview appointment for April 20th, but I"m also concern that my fiance never received the Appointment packet by mail. This is how I find out our interview appointment.

I called DOS this morning and they said his interview is scheduled for April 20th, and the Consulate had sent out the Appointment packet on March 11, but my fiance said he never received it! :wacko: The representative from DOS told me to go to the consulate website to find out what information I need for the appointment packet?

My fiance had emailed the consulate several times to get our case status, but it's been over 2 weeks and he still hasn't received any response from them yet.

My question to you is this, where can I get the information on the Appointment packet so that my fiance could have all the necessary items for the interview.Thank you so much for your input!

I think you should also worry about how your fiance will do her Medical because I was told that you cannot do it without having the P4 Appointment packet in your hands. How can you do a Medical without the P4 from the Consulate?

Sent the I-129F petition to USCIS on Aug 20, 2010

I-129F Approved!!! Feb 7, 2011

Returned P3 to Consulate Mar 7, 2011

Interview Date May 20, 2011

I don't know if I can though, have you requested those type of things from the DOS? When I talked to the representative this morning, he doesn't seem very friendly or helpful though.

Wow! 3 weeks to send out an email notice? Gosh, I guess they are swamped at HCMC then.

Have your fiance go to the consulate to get another copy of the pkt 4. They will provide it so he can get the medical done. Just have him say the mail never got there and he needs the appt letter for his medical. Do not wait for the mail as that could cause him to not be able to get the medical done before the interview.... Some beneficiaries have been told by Cho Ray that there is a month delay for the medical to get done.. others have walked up first thing in the morning and gotten in... in either case a letter from the consulate (pkt 4) is required to get it done... They have been known to sometimes email the appt letter but that is another potential waiting game...

he only has a little more than 3 weeks to get all of the required documentation together for the interview...

Do you know if he goes to the information booth at the consulate, will they provide the appointment letter right at the spot or will they tell him to come back to get it another day? This is so frustrating! How can my fiance convince them that there is an urgency that he NEEDS the appointment letter ASAP in order to do the medical in time for the interview?

Relax.. its not a huge problem.. he needs to go to the window and tell them that the interview is already scheduled but that he did not get the letter... They will give him a copy that day... this happens too often... they are aware of the urgency and will give him a copy of the letter...

I've looked at the Appointment packet information on the consulate's website. Are the documentations in the packet all we need, or do you know if there's additional documentation we need in addition to those mentioned in the packet? Since we're dealing with HCMC, I'm sure there's additional documentations that they might request that they did not mention in the packet. Just a guess here, I could be wrong though.

Scott is correct. They will provide your fiance will the interview documents the same day. Everything you need for the interview is listed in P4 Appointment Package. Also, bring a notarized Time Line and notarized list of your residence of the last 10 years. These 2 things are NOT listed in the Package but plenty of people have gotten blue slipped requesting them. The only thing is, you have to hope that the CO accepts them right away.

6/1/09 - 6/11/09-----> First meeting (Japan)

11/11/09 - 11/21/09-----> Second meeting (Japan)

2/7/10 - 2/14/10-----> Third meeting (Vietnam) (First trip to Vietnam)

4/1/10 - 4/11/10-----> Fourth meeting (Vietnam) (Second trip to Vietnam)

5/5/10-----> I-129F: NOA1

8/27/10-----> NOA2

12/20/10-----> Interview Date
