Its being 5 months 1 week now since we received our NO1.What should we do now?should my wife contact her congressman or should we just wait.Please help with your advise.

Yes, your wife should contact her congressmen and senators immediately. On their respective websites, there should be a privacy release form. You will need to complete this. It authorizes their liaisons to inquire the status of your case, on your behalf. Remember, they cannot force USCIS to make a decision. However, for cases pending beyond the normal processing times, they usually are approved immediately. I contacted my state congressmen and senators when my case was beyond 5 months. Literally, within a few hours, I received an approval email from USCIS.

definitely contact the your representatives. However, I want to let you know that it took 5 months and one week to receive my noa2.

My wife called the USCIS yesterday and they assured her that we will hear from them by the 30 th of this month.Has any one had this experience?

When we were at the 5 month mark they told us that it could take up to another 30 days - fortunately it only took 2 weeks.
