You can fill in the paperwork now but you cannot file it until you are married as one of the items you need to provide is a copy of your marriage certificate.

I did not go to the Civil Surgeon to get my vaccinations transcribed however my vacs were complete when I arrived in the US.

You can get your I-693 already, as long as your immunisations are complete.

You can also fill in all the paperwork for the AOS but don't sign or date it until you've got all the documents you need to send (your marriage certificate). Don't forget if you are changing your family name to use that on the forms.

you surely can prepare everything, and going to the civil surgeon is one of the things you can do. this way, once you have the marriage certificate, you won't waste time collecting the other documents and you'll be able to send the AOS package right away. Good luck!

Thank you all. I will change my surname...so do I need to fill in all documents with a new one? I am sorry...but it might be so silly questions )))

My vaccination list is not complited... I need one more vocc. And my son ( on K2 ) needs 2 more. So we can work on med first. Can't we? What are the prices range for that? Thank you all again!

If you're changing your name all the forms must be in the name you want to be known by AFTER you're married.

When are you planning on getting married and what is your timetable for your vaccinations? Is the delay on your son's vaccinations due to not enough time between doses?

Prices vary between Civil Surgeons. Have a look for Nik+Heather's thread called 'Civil Surgeons who don't rip you off' to find a CS near you that charges for the vaccination transcription only. I paid $75 each for my daughter and I.

I came to US 2 weeks ago and our visas will be expired on the beginning of June. We are planning our marriage in 2 weeks. We did all needed vaccinations at home but there are some more that are requeired in US but not in Ukraine. They told me ( when we passed our med. exam in Ukraine ) that we should do them in US. I do not know till what age they should be done. No clue about timetable... My son is not 3 yet.

Your visas expired the moment you entered the country with them. They're single entry visas. Your I-94 gives you until June to get married or leave.

We can help you work out when the best time to get your I-693 paperwork done if you can list the vaccinations that your son has had and the dates (month/ year is fine)

What vaccination are you still missing and how old are you?
