Hi all - to my enormous surprise just received a transfer notice today. Truly can't believe our luck - the quick turnaround and the fact that we won't have to go for an interview (my husband travels a lot for work and I was concerned he wouldn't be here).

But something's bugging me...the timing seems odd...odd in that we just filed Feb. 28, seems ridiculously quick, not complaining mind you, just suspicious! Also odd is that our case has not been 'touched' yet (we received the initial NOA1s, email and letter, and biometrics appt.), but that's it, nothing since.

Does this seem right to you?

Seem right to me.. :) Congrats!!!

Brenda, not sure if you have been to the AOS Feb. fillers thread yet, but here is the link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/293396-february-2011-filers/

You can compare with other Feb. fillers.

Transfer doesn't 100% guarantee no interview. Your file can still be sent back to your local office for interview.

Good news! We got the same notice today and we filed on March 14th.. I thought it was really fast too. Hope we go without an interview! Good luck!

Wow, that's unbelievably fast! Yeah, I'd rather not have to do the interview - it's not that the interview itself is a big deal just all the prep work.

Good luck to you too, I'll follow your progress.

I have to agree with Vanessa & Tony- a transfer does not mean no interview. They can still call you in for an interview or transfer you case back and forth, like they did with mine.

I did get away with not having an interview but I thin that was only because I got my congressman involved which led to an approval eventhough my file at that point was back at a local office.

I hope the transfer will mean good news for you though...
