It comes down to living standards RE culture imo. Some cultures/races have a lot of children, yet what is the living standard of said children with inflation rising faster than ever ? If a couple who makes a combined income of .. $50,000 a year with two children have the same life style / living standards as a couple making the same amount of money with six children ?

Iv'e seen it here, and in Europe. Some cultures/races keep on having children as fast as they can make them, and others choose to not have so many children in order to keep a higher standard of living. It's 2011 now, yet some cultures are living in the 19th century.

One side of my family is "Frisian" which was a large country at one time aka Friesland. Now it's less than a third of it's original size and is nothing more than a autonomous state inside of the Netherlands. Frieslanders do not speak Dutch as a first language, they do not speak German as a first language, nor Danish. How much money are they receiving from those three country's ? TRY ZERO. They go to work and earn a living. It's called WORK and get PAID. Everyone else does it, why not Alaskan natives ? Frisians were attacked and over run by Germans, Romans, French, Danes, etc....and they didn't receive jack ####### from it. Again they work and conformed to society.

What does that have to do with anything? Were your ancestors part of a sovereign nation that signed a treaty with the Netherlands? If not, then there is no analogy.

Many civilizations have been conquered. The native Americans receive benefits because they surrendered and negotiated those terms. That's why they get the benefits they do. Doesn't matter who likes it or not and who thinks it's fair or not. The treaties were signed between the USA and sovereign nations. Don't kid yourself, if there was a legal way out of these treaties, the government would be all over it.

I don't understand ? Wasn't it you that stated on here that all those illegal immigrants crossing our southern border are just Spanish speaking Indians that have decided to cross over by the thousands the past five decades in order to reclaim their land ? I'm guessing these are the same Spanish speaking Indians that spoke Spanish before the Aztecs got a hold of them and forced them to speak Aztec. They probably all went south of the border after the US claimed the Southwest and now here they are...

Who is it that imagines everything will stay the same forever? People "against" global climate change? We like it the way it is so it should never change? It has changed many times over millions of years but now, because we have beach homes, it should not change again?

The so-called "native Americans" emigrated here from Asia about 10,000 years ago and some came from South America. So what? Which of you supporting native Americans is now packing your bags to head back to England or Germany or wherever?

Should we give eastern Europe back to the Turks? Or maybe the Mongols? Why do Ukraine and Russia argue over Crimea when it really belongs to the Mongols? How can England be a country when it was stolen by Normans? You cannot pick an arbitrary date and keep everything just like that forever. If we could, I would choose November 3, 1986. That was a really good day for me.

How can anyone consider the tribes of North America a "soveriegn nation" when they had no concept of soverignty or nationality? It is only because white men said they are soverign or a nationality. They had no concept of land ownership, yet now people say they "owned the land" Really? Who did they buy it from? Who did they take it from? Or was that in the "first come, first serve, forever,ownership in perpetuity" days? Who says so? When did those days end? And what constitutes "ownership" and where were the boundaries?

Indians immigrated here first and ruled the continent (sort of) for a few thousand years. Europeans came along and basically killed them off and gained control. That's it. The Indians lost. At least for now. The Indians have since allowed the Europeans to subjugate them by depending on handouts from the white European based government(s) (Canada does it also)

This whole argument is silly and exists only because some apologists have false guilt and/or some want to keep the Indians confined to where we tell them to live, work, eat, go to the doctor.

There is no going back. It is what it is. Change, adapt, adjust, mutate...or die. Choose.

You wish to keep what the tribes gave away in the treaties but no longer make the payments for them per the legal terms of the contract because we have had possession long enough. Same thing as figuring at some point prior to paying off your car or homeloan you're tired of making the payments, you've had the car or home long enough, it's yours now. At least that is what I figure you mean Gary.
