Does anyone know how and where to get the police records needed for visas in Karachi, Pakistan.

I got mine from SP office and it was in lahore, i am pretty sure it will be the same in karachi, it took me two week after applying to get one. Make sure to fill in english form of application along with urdu. and he will need 4 passport size pictures as well.

He went to the district coordinating office to get one and they said they could not issue it without visa letter saying he needs it. i was hoping to get it now, because i heard itcan take sometime, now i have to wait for the visa packet, its so frustrating!

i was told to get it from district coordinating office too but i still went to SP office. i think he should give it a try. Asking about it wont hurt.they asked me the reason to get it and i told that i need it for immigrant visa, they took the application and issued one in two weeks.

My wife went to the police station, they needed some passport pics, passport copy, National ID Card (NICOP) copy. Have them try the central one in Karachi or one near his house. I believe they give it in Urdu, so he will need to get it translated and attested. It only took them 1-2 days to get it.(total) They will ask what its for, and tell your husband to just push them...they don't need any visa letter. It's pretty common item and shouldnt be an issue.

My wife's certificate says Office of the Senior Superintendent of Police Jamshed Quarters, Capital City Police Karachi.

It may not hurt to have him carry a copy of his birth certificate when he goes as well.

Just go to Ur appropriate police station nd meet with roznamcha mohrar they will give you a form nd read that form nd fill up nd submit with the requirements as it's mention on form OK ? Good luck dude.

SP Stands for Supridendent of police. its a higher level police post and every district has a main SP office. If its not SP office then they must Have an IG (inspector General)office. Either one of them can issue this certificate.

u can go to ur district SP office and in there go to ZIB(Zone Investigation Branch) .They will give u a form to fill out u'll need pictures and copies of CNIC ect .i paid 2400 RS and the guy gave it the next day..

I know I may wound naive but is the police certificate in some custom format or do we need to guide them ? I mean it's In a form format or hand written ?
