I know! Lots of questions today. :-) Soon very soon I will be applying for AOS. I know they say your medicals are good for 1 year. when my fiance did his medicals they gave him a card with his immunizations. 1 of his shots he was to go back for the 2nd shot. he missed the date and went a day late and he was told he had to start the series over. The shot was not needed at the time of the k1 visa interview. How does that affect the AOS process. Do he need the DS 3025 or the I 693? Will the medicals on file be enough or will he have to have the immunizations completed when we submit the AOS paperwork? Thanks again

When you go to the civil surgeon to get that part of the paperwork done you will have to present your immunization card. The doctor will let you know if anything is lacking. So once you get that part done everything shld be fine. Oh, You should try to get a copy of the form the doctor is completing. You never know if you may need it. Not all doctors keep copies for later use so it good to get it before they seal it up.

You will be sent a letter requesting additional information IF they need the extra stuff (afetr you have applied for the AOS). In our case, after applying for the adjustment of status we got a letter saying that they did not have my wife's medical records. Mind you this was after haveing the civil surgeon validify the immunization records....since you cant apply for the AOS without this. Actually the letter never specified what part they didnt have. It was a pretty generic notice. We just assumed that they lost all of it and reluctantly had to have another medical completed. The only unexpected thing was that the doctor insisted that she needed a "Flu Shot"....and said it was a requirement for that time of the year! She also had to get a measles shot even though she had measles as a baby and would have developed the anti bodies for it. It seemed like a bit much since the first medical didnt require it. Not sure what to make of that, but thats what happened. Anyway, we sent in the sealed envelope and everything was fine.

Good Luck
