Hi guys,

I am still waiting for the embassy to get back to me with my passport / visa. I have read through the many posts and threads on here about the POE and the next stages.

Many people refer to the "brown envelop" that they receive from the embassy which they need to give to immigration upon arrival. I was wondering what is in this envelop? I was reading the reviews on the POE and was wondering if there is anything else that I need to provide? and what questions they might ask?

Any information would be great!

Cheers!

All of your paper files are couriered back to the US by YOU. The brown envelope will have petition files, the London visa/interview files, and your medical results from Knightsbridge. You will need your passport, an I-94 form, and US customs form. Normally you fill out those forms on the plane before landing.

Look in the menu bar for a link called POE and you can find reviews where people tell what questions they were asked.

My Entry was just a few weeks ago. Point of warning about the brown envelope.

I travelled Newcastle-Paris-Dulles. I clung on to that little sucker of a brown envelope.

On arrival in to Paris, one of the security people was attempting to OPEN my precious brown envelope!

I grabbed it back and said..."dont open that freaking enevelope its official American Business" Repeated that a good few times and he still insisted that it had to be opened there and then..At that point i said "ok find me a translator who can speak with a geordie english woman and lets discuss diplomatic incidents :P

We eventually agreed he could xray it and hand it back to me unopened.

I carried on my merry way...onwards to the next flight!

Paris to Dulles...Only problem here was i was travelling with Air France...The i194 was in French. Im not that fluent in French /slaps head

A very kind Italian translated the form for me and we filled it in.

Get to Dulles...I get to the front of the line, took one look at the guy who was going to deal with me and just knew..by the way he was holding his chest he was going to be a smart ####### with me. Big breathes i approached his counter....Yup i was right! first question was, "where is your Husband?"

I said erm "im not married yet" he smiled and said "correct answer"

"Do you have any food?" I said "well...i have my Tetley tea bags and HP sauce" <3 (he had no idea what i was talking about)

I *cough* humoured this jolly chap for a few minutes...fingerprints etc and then he allowed me in.
