VSC Processing K-1 Fiancee

Hi all-

I called the USCIS and they were actually very helpful and polite. They stated taht currently, the VSC is working on files submitted on September 11, 2010. We received our NOA1 on Oct. 1, 2010, so that means we still have a few weeks before it gets to ours, which is really disappointing. I wanted to let everyone know in case they are curious or couldn't get through to an officer. Apparently, 5 months is just an estimate, but their 'processing times' for the VSC are normal as of now. It just takes time for each case...sigh.

Yes, it sounds like more patience is required for VSC, but rest assured everything after the wait is almost as speedy as you want it to be. Nany has been very helpful at the Embassy if you have any questions.

good luck katie! i got my noa1 on feb 10th. my service is up in august. exactly 6 months for the noa1. hopefully i´ll get the noa2 right after my cos and be able to go home shortly after. take acer
