SIF then case re-opened

My mom's case was closed a week ago but could not be sent for interview scheduling because my dad's was not completed.When I wrote to NVC asking that my mom's case be sent ahead for interview scheduling, now both cases have been sent to "another" department, and my mom's cadet has been re-opened.They are now telling mecto wait 4-6weeks.My guess is it might be in administratiVenessa processing.Any advice or similar experiences????

Well .. you are getting what you asked for. The case was closed and you are asking the NVC be courteous to you and the case and to process them together hence same interview schedule. For them to even assign your dad's case along with your mom they had to reopen the case.. the quoted tim is mostly to process the "other" case but wont take that long... about 20 days perhaps.
