Can we apply for EAD- Employment Authorization (I-765) before my fiance comes to the US so he will be able to work immediately? I know it is an extra $380, but it might be worth it to pay that up front and be able to apply for jobs rather than filing with AOS and waiting 90 days to even begin...

What has been everyone's experience been with working after K1 has been approved?

Good job trying to think ahead but that's not gonna work.

That authorization is only for the 90 days the I-94 is technically "valid" for. So if you want to spend all that money to work for 90 days go ahead. I believe you have to apply after entering the US. Then once you are married you can file AOS and get an EAD within around 60 days of filing. So there will almost definitely be a gap of some kind between the two authorizations in which it would be illegal to work.
