I was just wondering that what is done with the AOS after the visa interview...my husband hasn't had his interview yet, but it is on jan 2 ,

will he need the affidivat at his POE (God willing he gets his visa) ? and does that affidivat expire, since i submitted it in july 06, and if he gets his visa it would probably be in like april 2007...so would i have to do a whole new affidivat for him to pass the POE?

Ok, thanks alot for your help

No new I-864 required at POE. The I-864 will remain in the brown envelope along with everything else and is forwarded to USCIS. The I-864 is legally binding and does not expire. It will however end when the permanent resident becomes a USC or can be credited with 40 qualifying quarters of work.
