Hello there..... does anybody know about the police certificate i have to get for the K1 Visa interview? I am from Colombia, i am not sure if it is the popular "pasado judicial" the one that i have to get for that. Is that all? or is there a different one......?

4/7/06: Shipped off ginormous fiance package

4/10/06: Received by Nebraska

4/11/06: NOA1

5/5/06: COLOMBIA

6/1/06: Emails detailing transfer to California

6/2/06: Touched

6/15/06: Touched ;)

7/03/06: Received 2 e-mails this morning from USCIS indicating the RFE was mailed on 6/23...still waiting...

7/03/06: Received RFE !!! WOOOO! Finally!!!!!

7/05/06: Touched ;)

7/17/06: Recieved an e-mail from USCIS saying they recieved our filed RFE answer... woooooooooo...

8/07/06: NOA 2 APPROVED!!!!!!!... WOOOOOOOOOO !!...

AUGUST 17 !!!!!, JILL VISITED COLOMBIA!!!!

8/28/06: Case sent to NVC

8/29/06: Case sent to Consulate in Bogota---Wooo!!!

According to the USCIS documentation they are not available in Columbia so don't attempt to get, If you lived in other countries for any period of 6 or more months since age 16 you should get certificates from those locations.

Ummm, according to the reciprocity table they are available...

Police certificates (Pasado Judicial) may be obtained in Bogota at the Identification Division of the Department of Administrative Security (DAS), Colombia's equivalent of a federal law enforcement agency. Colombian police certificates contain information regarding outstanding warrants only. They contain no information regarding prior arrests and/or criminal convictions. Police certificates have a validity of one year.
