Hi everyone, I'm Ahmed

I've been reading here for the past 2 hours or so.

I'm a USC currently in Pakistan. Haven't really visited the USA(left when I was 3).

Thinking of moving to US after I finish college here(summer 2012).

Scared and confused.

The documents I'm going to need when I get there. (driver's license, academic certificates)

Need to find a job when I get there.

Where am I going to stay? (My uncle might let me stay with him for a while. I don't wanna stay with him, not too long)

My mom doesn't want me to go. I keep telling her I'll try to get her there once I get there.

I was going through this site trying to figure how hard is it to make the move and sponsor my mom.

Hope I don't sound too desperate.

You don't sound desperate, just unsure of uprooting your life and moving to a new place. Even though you're a USC you have spent most of your life in Pakistan. Why don't you go for a visit? You can stay with your uncle and get an idea and feel for the country to see if you would like to live here or not. :)

If you know the state you will be staying in, you can start looking online for jobs, you can also search up your states DMV to find out information about Drivers License etc. They also have state and county webpages that show pictures and job opportunitys and talk about the community etc. You can check that all out online which should help you out some before you arrive.
