Hello!

My fiancee is currently working in Singapore and she will be home for a couple of weeks to the Philippines to gather/collect all of the required documents for the K1 visa. The problem is, I am not really sure which documents are needed since we haven't got the instructions from the embassy yet. Does anyone have an idea which documents are needed, specifically the documents that is required by the US embassy in Singapore for K1 Visa? All help will be so much appreciated! Thank you!

Richard

In most cases the same as what US Embassy is asking in the Philippines, however since its going to be use in Singapore make sure to have her call US Embassy in in Sinagapore if she needed her docs to be further authenticated here in the Philippines.

My fiancee is a filipina living in Singapore. Your fiancee will need her birth certificate, NBI Clearance, and a CENOMAR. The CENOMAR needs to go straight from the NSO office to the embassy in Singapore. You must order the CENOMAR online here. https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Secure/frmIndex.asp Just go down to where it says "i want to apply" and click on "Request for copies of Birth / Marriage / Death Certificate / CENOMAR (Singleness)"

I think that's all she will need from philippines. If i can think of anything else i'll let you know.

Also, for the Singapore police clearance, get started on it soon. I don't know if you can do it before you get the packet from the embassy though because they want to see that you really need a police clearance before they will do it. But in all it takes about a month to get it. It's the last thing we are waiting on.

Hi Adam,

I dont think Singapore Gov. still issue a police clearance to a non singaporean.

They only issue it to Singapore Citizen.

They will let you appeal if you are a non singaporean citizen but i believe that you have to have the letter from the embassy first. Trust me. My fiancee and I are going through it now. We went through the appeal process and everything.

Hi Adam. I'm also a Filipino who live and work here in Singapore. I've started to take note of the requirements in Packet 3 and I think the SG police certificate will be a tedious process for me too. Could you explain how you went about it? Another thing — would you know if co-sponsors are permitted at the consulate in SG?
