I just wanted to comment again on the tax papers you submitted. If you sent your own personal copies of your filed taxes then that is why the CO said she did not see what she was looking for. Ghana requires tax transcripts that you must request from the IRS. This is the actual IRS printed documents of your taxes. It is not in the same format as the taxes we submit to them. If you did not send this you will need to call the IRS and ask them to send you the tax transcripts for the past 3 years. They can fax them to you if you are actually near the fax machine you request it to be faxed to or they will mail them to you. Which ones did you send?

I sent a copy of my own taxes. I had no idea that you needed tax transcripts, I never even heard of such a thing. I went to my local IRS office and got a copy of them. I looked back through all my paperwork and even on the interview letter it specifically states tax returns. Its so frustrating. I guess other then that, he had every other document. He has copies of mine and my daughters passports and her visa and my resident permit, pictures of us being there. Silly me I thought a CO job was to look through information?!?!

As I suspected you sent copies of the tax papers you filed. Unfortunately although it does not say on the paperwork, Ghana requires in most cases a copy of your tax transcript not filed tax papers. Please post a question on the Ghana portal to get additional feedback so that you can be sure and prepared for the next interview. I hope this helps.
