DOS advises that you do not book your interview until it's confirmed that Packet 4 has been sent from Montreal.

You can schedule your appointment when DOS says you are eligible to, which is after your Packet 4 has been logged and mailed by the consulate.

There will be earlier openings but you need to go on CSC website randomly and hope to find one that's convenient for you.

US citizen since April 2016

ROC completed April 2014

AOS from K1 completed February 2012

We just sent packet 3 back to MTL last tuesday. My fiancee called DOS today and they said they received packet 3 and have sent packet 4.

Does this mean we can schedule the interview NOW instead of waiting until packet 4 arrives? MTL had my fiancee's address wrong and we emailed them about it, but I'm worried they sent packet 4 to the incorrect address as well. (Packet 3 never arrived, so we used the list on the MTL consulate website).

Since I'm doubtful that we will actually get packet 4, is it identical to this page: http://montreal.usconsulate.gov/content/content.asp?section=visas&document=visa_pkt4 ?

This was the most relevant thread I cound find - sorry for bumping it up after so long.

Thanks so much!

Yes you can book it. That page has the same info as packet 4. Don't wait to get it in the mail; it'll set you back :)

Hello Penny do you know what # to call at the Montreal consulate to ask if they've sent Packet 4? Our case shows READY on the tracker and I have sent in Packet 3 by email. I tried calling Montreal once and was told I had reached the emergency line and they wouldn't give any information.
