Hello all,

My wife's AOS paperwork was received by USCIS yesterday. I remember when we started the K-1 process, it was possible to look at the back of the cancelled check (online image) to get our USCIS case number a few days before receiving the NOA1. The AOS check hasn't been cashed yet, but is this possible for AOS as well? I'm thinking no because in the case of the K-1, it was sent directly to the Service Center handling the case (in our case, VSC) and the AOS goes through a lockbox. I'm assuming the lockbox cashes the check, but the case number won't be known until it arrives at the office which ultimately processes it.

Also, she applied for her LPR (of course!), EAD and AP.. Will each of these be assigned a separate case # by USCIS so they can be tracked independently? Should we be expecting to receive multiple I-797Cs?

Thanks

Yes, you will get a receipt for each one, so three altogether, and each is trackable separately online. We got our receipt numbers via email/text a day before the check was cashed. If you sent in the form for e-notifications you should get the texts/emails as well. If not, just wait for the notices in the mail.

I'm the USC petitioner.

Thanks!

That makes sense because they are technically three separate applications. And, we did include the electronic notification form so, hopefully, we'll hear something this week.
