It's always interesting reading emails from our Belgian supplier. I usually have to read it twice to have an understanding of what's said

G-d bless the Belgians ! :star:

Lots to do today....have to go to the post office :D , then on to the grocery store, and finally I will go see the boy. I'm bringing him a grain supplement along with his carrots. So far, it is perfectly sunny out.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

A lil chilly here...was in the 80s yesterday. Today in the 60s but sunny!

My boss says the email from the owner of our UK vendor is like it was written in Chinese and translated into English. His emails are wordy.

Given the eleemosynary nature of this discourse, it behooves neither principle to engage in jactation vis-a-vis pedantic palaver. Such intercourse serves as little more than a diaphanous pretext, given the zeitgeist, to embellish wastepaper baskets with verbose bloviations.

How's that? :P

um...sure...lol

Here's an example of the UK message. Do you see how the boss sees this as translated from Chinese?

We have extended our our investigation into the reasons why you experienced a number of quantity shortages in recently despatched goods, compared to the regular over packing in previous batches and have come to several conclusions some of which are quite surprising:

  • There is a range of "piece" weight using our averaging scales method of counting even when checking a relatively short, continuous production run of the PART A. We had only two bags of PART A packed and found one had 998 and the other 1,000. The new production was checked in several ways prior to it being packed and sealed and we decided to sample each bag and using a the most advantageous "piece" weight (for you) we packed into 1,000s, we confirmed that this means in this shipment you have bags with 1,000, + and some +2.
  • PART B are a similar scenario except that we had significant stock packed ready for despatch. Our analysis showed that we needed to add 22 pieces in total to the 52,000 we had previously packed. This should result in you gaining a few parts.
  • Inaccuracies have been compounded by the fact that a rapid internal door isolating the packing area from our stores packing bay has been broken and the contractor took much longer (over 6 weeks) to execute the repair. The draft created when these big doors are open can result in the scale count varying by up to 2 pieces per ,1000
  • We may have an intermittent fault in the motherboard of our main packing scale and the manufacturer's engineer has already inspected the equipment and we await their recommendations/quote. We have received a quote for a like for like replacement scale and this decision is pending.
  • For the longer terms solution we are considering purchasing a counting machine and have opened up a line of enquiry with a world leader in the manufacture of a bespoke unit, which if successful, and cost effective will assists us in the speed and accuracy of all our packing process.

Can you please confirm when these most recently packed parts arrive and if our corrective action has resolved this issue.

Thank you again for your understanding and patience.

Ugh, I hate dealing with international freight! Why can't there be a reliable transportation method to get the material from the US to the UK???

I track the shipment and it says "Booking not honored" at JFK for yesterday. Today it says "Airline error." WTH?!?

clothing?

no there's actually a special type of costume type makeup that's specifically for covering scars and bruising. everyone on my plastic surgery forum uses it. I bought some and never used it. I just don't remember what it's called because I threw it away.
