We're back home now. Dr said absolutely no smoking. Benny of course asked if he could use his electronic cigarette. The doc wasn't too sure either way. If you blow the vapor on an open wound does it hinder or stop the healing process? If so, then he can't use them either.

Mechanical insult will cause problems since Fibrin doesn't have much strength initially. yes.gif

smoking could cause severe pain if a clot is dislodged. plus it introduces chemical irritants to delicate tissue. tell him dr amby said no.the last thing that Benny needs is a vasoconstrictor to shut off or greater reduce the blood flow to the tissues as they heal and the nicotine in the ciggies is one HELL of a vasoconstrictor.
