You should have both applications on your letter, but you will not have two appointments. When you go, I would mention the I-485 and make sure that they put your print in the system for that too. Good luck.

thanks harpa, i was looking for more experienced opinion,

So do you think I should call them?

on the bottom it says

`if you have any questions regarding this notice, please call 1800 375 5283`

In my experience, calling them is useless. I would just wait for more mail (maybe the other letter got separated) and when you go let them you know you think there is a mistake and bring your NOA1 for the I-485 to show them you need them to enter fingerprints for that too. Good luck.

think you're right, hope it just separated, and will receive that too or who knows maybe this is it, i just didn't want to wait more for that too

you're right i just called them, they are really useless, she insistingly said the same thing over and over again, `if they need you to take another biometric they will let you know` well duh, tell me something i dont know....

but i will definitely take my NOA1 for I-485 and let them know that never received the biometric for that.

When you go in, ask to speak to a supervisor and explain the situation.

I had the wrong A# written on my biometric receipt and I explained the situation to the supervisor and he instructed the person doing my biometrics to manually change it in the computer she had in front of her. While there I had a quick snoop at what she was entering on the computer and it seems like they add just about anything in from there. I know it's not exactly the same situation, but it seems like the people at that office have access to your file which is good news/

Definitely bring your NOA1 for I-485 and explain the situation because they may be able to make a note of it so you don't have to have another biometric appointment.

I received my Biometrics appointment letter yesterday for an appointment in April.

I walked into the office this morning and had completed my biometrics in LESS THAN 24 HOURS of receiving the notice.

I just walked in and asked if I could do it and that I wouldn't mind waiting and they said yes. Was in and out in 20 minutes.

so what i gathered from my readings is that no this is not `it` i am to receive one more biometric appointment i guess coz appreantly biometric for EAD only one finger and for AOS is all 10 fingers or if you're monkey 12

so i am gonna take my NOA1 for I-485 and show them that i didn't receive a biometric for it, let's see what they gonna say. hope they wont say you have to wait for that.

Why don't you just add the other receipt number on to the sheet you fill out when you go for your bios?

Might that be a solution to try and knock two birds on the head with one stone. Otherwise would it be worth to try do an infopass and then try to do a walk in on the same day?

sure? wouldn't that be altering an official document? I do have the NOA1 for the I485, and will take it with me and let's see what they say?

Sweet. What did they say when you mentioned the I-485?

And, now the real wait begins... lol

it was scary, first i was very sleepy got up at 6:30, I was there by 7:30 waited around 35 mins at the door.

The first lady at the desk said no `we can't do anything you have to have the document, so we can scan the bar-code (which made sense to me). i was like `aaah`.

After, the technician came and got my FP for EAD, I said `so is this usual to not receive one appointment letter for both?` he said `yes sometimes, so i will see you again soon`.

As I was getting ready to leave, I go again `someone told me you could look into system and see if I am there, here's my NOA for I-485` then he said ok `hold on` he went back and talk to his manager/supervisor. I was watching them thru the window, manager/supervisor sit on her desk and looked through computer and she said yes you're here scheduled for 4/20 (god it's even later then my EAD appointment which it was for 4/15). I said `can you do that now`? she's like yea sure, she printed that appointment letter then hand it to him, he scanned it just fine and got my prints, and that was it :)

and yes they are not the same thing;

EAD 1 index finger

AOS (GC) all 10 fingers

so you say the real wait begins now eh well that's fine, as long as I have my EAD I can work, I can wait for the interview date that wouldn't bother me, being able to work is important you know.

harpa thank you for suggesting me to take the documents and speak about it, else i wouldn't even open my mouth.

I'm so glad! Well done on not taking no for an answer but remaining polite :)

You probably won't hear anything about the EAD for at least two months (maybe closer to three months), even with the early biometric. Sometimes a walk-in speeds things up, but normally not. I don't mean to be a downer, but when we were waiting during the AOS process, unrealistic expectations were hard to shake. That's what I mean when I say the real waiting begins now :) Hopefully I'm wrong!
