What are you adjusting from? What status are you currently under? And is there a specific reason for leaving the submission of AOS to literally the last day?

Adjustment of Status from F-1 to Legal Permanent Resident

02/11/2011 Married at Manhattan City Hall

03/03/2011 - Day 0 - AOS -package mailed to Chicago Lockbox

03/04/2011 - Day 1 - AOS -package signed for at USCIS

03/09/2011 - Day 6 - E-mail notification received for all petitions

03/10/2011 - Day 7 - Checks cashed

03/11/2011 - Day 8 - NOA 1 received for all 4 forms

03/21/2011 - Day 18 - Biometrics letter received, biometrics scheduled for 04/14/2011

03/31/2011 - Day 28 - Successful walk-in biometrics done

05/12/2011 - Day 70 - EAD Arrived, issued on 05/02

06/14/2011 - Day 103 - E-mail notice: Interview letter mailed, interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2011 - Day 139 - Interview at Federal Plaza USCIS location

07/22/2011 - Day 141 - E-mail approval notice received (Card production)

07/27/2011 - Day 146 - 2nd Card Production Email received

07/28/2011 - Day 147 - Post-Decision Activity Email from USCIS

08/04/2011 - Day 154 - Husband returns home from abroad; Welcome Letter and GC have arrived in the mail

("Resident since" date on the GC is 07/20/2011

my visa expires on the 20th of april, when is the latest i can file my AOS out and still stay in the U.S legally?

What Visa did you enter the USA?

I would file now. Dont wait until the 20th of April.

03/28/2011 (Day 19) Biometrics letter 4/8/2011
04/08/2011 (Day 30) Successful Biometrics for I-765/I-485
05/13/2011 (Day 65) EAD received in the mail
05/14/2011 (Day 66) Email confirming EAD approved (Case updated online TOUCH)
05/20/2011 (Day 72) SSN In the Mail.

09/08/2011 (Day 200 ) Email notification of Interview.
10/11/2011 Interview at 26 Federal Plaza, NY!
Interviewed and Am expecting RFEs!
10/13/2011 (Day ***) Received RFE-- Requesting that I provide documentation to prove I was never married in Uk or Illin
02/11/2012 (Day ***) Service request..Told its being reviewed by supervisor

24th March 2012!!!!!!!!!!! Email notifiying me of CARD IN PRODUCTION
03/26/2012 (Day 376) Emails confirming that my I-130 and I-485 have been approved.

4/2/2012 Green Card In Hand!

Unbelievable that my journey took this long but Im thankful

Next Stop Premed...Yup!

3/24/2014 Application for conditions to be removed

9/22/2014 APPROVED without interview.

F1. We are still preparing all the documents...

And we went to get marriage certificate today. We will get married on Apr.

You mean we need make sure they get all of our doc. before 20th??

Yes. Make sure you have everything prepared so when you do get married, you will be able to file the next day. It took my application 6 days to be accepted. Some others still have not received their first receipt notification for their AOS cases even having sent their paperwork in three weeks ago. You need room to move especially if you plan on using the AP which which allow you to travel in and out of the US whilst your visa application is pending.

From B1. I was going to leave on Mar. But I met my Fiance on Jan. We don't want to stay away from each other. And we just decide to marry now. So we just start prepare all the doc. Is there any way we could explain that to USCIS?

You can have a F1, K1, CR1, VWP, H1b OR even a B1.

Its the same difference.

Just dont have a EWI!
