Hi everyone,

I have filed I-130 and send it to Chicago Lock Box for my wife who resides in Turkey. It has been 5 months and 3 weeks, and I still didn't hear anything from my application. The average processing time for Vermont Processing Center for I-130 is listed as 5 months on USCIS official website and I have seen from other followers of this forum in 5 to 5.5 months applicants receive NOA2, approval. I contacted to cisombudsman.publicaffairs@dhs.gov for more onformation to expedite the process or give me information about my application and standing. They sent me a form to fill (DHS Form 7001), filled and sent back on march 14th, last week. Anyone who went through this process can give some information as when I may be getting my NOA2 approval fro I-130 application. Esspecially who went through Turkish Embassy, how long has it taken to complete the process? Is there anything I can do to expedite at this point. It has almost been 6 months.

Thank you for your comments from now.

thank you, i hope mi case won't last long. your approval took 7 months you said, was it because of the transferring your case csc-tsc? for vsc approval or processing time is not that long, right?

also during this process i moved and i have changed my address through uscis website as well as from post office (forwarded all mails from old address to new), and i got confirmation # for the change i did through uscis website. this wouldn't cause any delay on the approval, right?

Look at similar timelines, that seems to help. I think your processing time is normal, mine took over a year at VSC! (That was 2008-2009)
