H-E-L-P please ?

i sent the embassy an e-mail to ask then if they still closed or open, i got this message from them..but i do not know what they mean by saying " The administrative processing of your case is still pending. When completed, it will be posted on the website http://egypt.usembassy.gov/consular/ivstatus.html with your case number and further "

what is the administrative processing ? i did not even made my interview yet.

here is the message i got from them:

(Kindly note that visa operations are still suspended. The embassy hopes to resume some visa operations by the end of March. The administrative processing of your case is still pending. When completed, it will be posted on the website http://egypt.usembassy.gov/consular/ivstatus.html with your case number and further instructions. If you are not contacted by end of April, please send us your telephone number by email to ConsularcairoIV@state.gov. )

any one can help me plz and tell me what they mean ?

Hello... I don't know what that could possibly mean, especially since you haven't even had an interview yet. I will say however there is some good news to be had from that email.... They may start back doing spousal visas by the end of March!!!! Let us celebrate that good news!!! And I pray someone with more experience comes along to help you with your question. Thank you for sharing with us!

I think this is a mistake on their end, you are only in administrative processing after you complete the interview. My fiance is in AP and I can check the status of his case on that website, but if you haven't had an interview it will not show up on there. I think they are saying also that by the end of March-April they are going to start to schedule interviews for spouses/children again

It's like mandy said a mistake from their end cause you didn't even have an interview,. did NVC forward the case to Cairo, and you had an interview date already ? or your case is still at the NVC waiting ?

I too had an interview in February but it was cancelled, and now i am waiting for rescheduling but now when i think about it after reading your post, do you think maybe they will do the AP before the interview, so when you have the interview you can have your visa very soon after :D
