Okay, so I followed some of the VJer's advice once my fiance' did not receive the Packet 3 and requested that it be sent to him or I via email. Welllll.....they simply replied NO! and told me that he would need to come and pick it up 2 weeks from now! They even set up a date and time! UUUGGGHHH!!! So now I have been waiting for 2 months!!!!!!

Should I send him to pick it up or just send in the 230 form and wait for an interview date?

ugh! That is crazy  I wish they would be consistent!!

I agree with Ricardo tho, all you can do is follow the instructions that the embassy gave you. You can however have him walk with the completed DS230 pt 1 and see if they will accept it from him immediately.

hang in there! (F)

You are posting in the wrong spot. This is a K1 question, not AOS.

First of all this is the Jamaica Portal and secondly I think I know what I filed, which is K1 Fiance' Visa.

ACTUALLY, if you take a little look UP at the top of your post you will see you are quite clearly posting in the "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" forum. It is also mentioned at the bottom of the thread. That is not the "Jamaican portal".

Secondly, as you are applying for a K1 visa you should be posting in the K1 Visa Processes forum, and not the AOS forum.

If you are not here to help then please stop responding to my post. I was told that VJ was to help people through their journey, not make it worse.

thanks

I'm not "making it worse". I'm trying to HELP you get better info because you can't get the right answers if you post in the wrong spot.

Maybe you would prefer I link it here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/80-k-1-fiancee-visa-process-procedures/ this is where you should be posting and where you will get proper answers to your questions because the people in the link I just posted are going through what you are. HOWEVER, because this is the Packet 3 section you'll be told to post here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/6-us-embassy-and-consulate-discussion/ If you want to post in the Jamaican Regional forum that is here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-latin-america-mexico-the-caribbean/ (it's not just Jamaica, it's actually Latin American, Mexico and the Caribbean).

Given your question is related to the Packet 3, I would personally post it in the Jamaican forum as that sort of question is usually country dependant.

I swear they do different things for everyone on purpose!!!! I thought i was really helping by telling what happened to me when they gave us all wrong info on packet 3 Bla bla, but guess it really doesn't matter because they are going to throw curve-balls everytime!!! O lets make these people go pick up packet 3, lets give these people the wrong address to send in Ds-230pt.1, lets not even answer these guys e-mails. Maddness I tell you!! Everyone stay strong and never give up!!
