No I-765 fee if filed concurrently?

My husband and I JUST sent off our AOS package. We filed the I-130 and I-485 concurrently and want to adjust my status from visitor to LPR. We did our paper work on our own and I never found anything on the USCIS website stating that there is no fee for the I-765 when filling concurrently. Is this really true (I read this posted on another thread here)?? While its not the end of the world if we've missed our chance as we'd obviously planned I just wouldn't work until our paper work was finalized, if I still have a chance to submit this form AFTER already having send in my initial package, I think I would take advantage of it.

So if this info is correct, would I still be eligible for no fee considering we've already sent in our I-130 and I-485?

Thanks!

No fee needed and best to quote:

If you filed Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, as of July 30, 2007, no fee is required to also file a request for employment authorization on Form I-765. You may file the I-765 concurrently with your I-485, or you may submit the I-765 at a later date. If you file Form I-765 separately, you must also submit a copy of your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of Form I-485 as of July 30, 2007.

page 8 of i-765 instructions.

You will still be able to apply for a free EAD.

Once you get your I-485 NOA1 back, send in the I-765 application for an EAD, with all the documentation it's instructions ask for. Mention in a cover letter that this application is concurrent with the I-485 you just sent in, and include a copy of the I-485 NOA1 in the envelope. If you do those, you won't need to include a cheque with the I-765, they will still accept it, and you'll get an EAD only a few weeks later than you would have normally. No problem at all! :)
