Incorrect. There were roughly 30,000 troops in Afghanistan in 2008 with 65,00 or so there now, so roughly 65,000 are no longer in Iraq but were not moved to Afghanistan either. I don't know how many of the 35,000 surge troops were moved from Iraq though, doubtful it would be 100% though.

When Obama took office there were two wars he said he was going to end. He ended none and now added another. Funding for the two wars he said he was going to end has been increased and now we add a third war.

Where are the protests?

I am against war unless it is to defend our country. I do not care if a DEM or a REPUB is in office. It is sickening to see Dems wail about a war a Republican starts but it is all OK as soon as a DEM is elected.

Our response to this should be to start drilling for oil here, give our people jobs and tell these mid-east wierdos to go pound sand.

The French have done rather well in North Africa historically. It's the Brits that always seemed to come up short on their own. Of course, they were facing the Ottoman Turks, and then the Axis Alliance at various times.

How did you come to this conclusion? It sounds like Obama entered only after Cameron and Sarkozy. Its a bit refreshing to see France taking the lead on this actually. I don't see an issue with this if it remains an air war only for the US. Things get expensive when your on the ground.

Oh so in other words Obama is a follower and Bush was a leader, interesting perspective.
