No, it was the United Nations General Assembly resolution calling for the establishment of Israel in 1947.

Another good reason to get rid of the United Nations. How many UN resolutions are there contradicting each other regarding Palestine? Over 200?

Hamas = terrorists

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

The Jews took that land fair and square, just like we took the land of the Indians. Maybe if Israel followed our lead (give them some dry arid land and let them open gambling casinos) Then everybody would be happy.

If they took it fair and square (via terrorism), then why be upset that the Palestinians want to take it back the same way?

Read up on the history of the creation of Israel before you answer. It wasn't without Jewish terrorism.

No. The resolution of the UN was a reccommendation. It didn't establish anything. The Jews said they accepted it, but the arabs refused (the Arab League). Nobody was willing to enforce the reccomendation. The arabs tried to wipe out the Jews.

It was a little war. The Jews won. Arabs lost. That is what established Israel. More wars followed with Israel winning and thereby expanding their territory.

The Arabs have tried many times over the last 60 years to take it back "fair and Square" and failed and failed and failed.

I don't have any problem with them trying.

Who's upset? Palestinians are trying to take it back and are getting their collective аsses kicked on a regular basis.

Living with the risk of terrorism is the cost of freedom.

the british occupation handed over palestine to the jewish occupation to establish Israel, the UN helped the process so it looks legit, Israel is never gonna be right even after a million years

You never know, Egypt might find it in their heart to give the Sinai Peninsula to the Palestinians just like Israel handed it over to Egypt. Even Jordan might kick in some land to the Palestinians along with Egypt. :)

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

It was a Jewish land 2,000 years ago.

shhh ...that's supposed to be a secret. Funny how the Golden Dome is built upon a Jewish Temple. In fact there weren't any Muslim's in that area until thousands of years after the Jews had established themselves in Israel.

"During their withdrawal, the British refused to hand over territory or authority to any successor. On 14 May 1948, the day that Britain had announced it would end the Mandate and the day when the last high commissioner left the territory, the Jewish community in Palestine published a Declaration of Independence which announced the creation of the State of Israel. The Declaration did not define what the borders of the new state were. On the following day, the 15th, most of the remaining British troops departed. Also on the 15th, five Arab armies crossed the borders of what had formerly been Mandate Palestine. This event marked the beginning of the 1948 ArabIsraeli War."

The Brits were not big fans of the Jews at this time, due at least in part to the terrorism that Sofi mentions. They quite logically assumed the handful of Jews could not stand up against millions of arabs.

No point in backing a loser. they did not hand palestine to the Jews. The Jews took it.
