Should I get pregnant?

I really wanna get pregnant but can't afford it. My hubby has a temp job so we do not have any health insurance. I am above 33 and can't wait any longer. What are my options? I really miss being a mother. :(. Please don't judge me based on this. I am only looking for opinions.

I heard it costs like $15 000 to have a baby at the hospital... I don't know if I would do it with no health insurance...

If you are in the south of the united states, drive to Mexico to have the baby there it's cheap

Find a job you love to do, and you will never work another day in your life.

That depends on the coverage, it would be a great deal less depending on the deductable.

I wouldn't based on your situation. You're only option at this point is to wait. Unless you're looking for government assistance, there really isn't annoying else to offer in the advice department.

Having a child you can't afford is a selfish act. This is going to sound bad , tough love, but a child is not a tool for personal gratification. The require money, lots of money. There is food and diapers, and medical bills. They outgrow their clothes and require a good education, which in the US means paying for a private school or paying money to live in a good school district. If you are scraping by it adds strain to your relationship, beyond what the normal bottles and diapers and sleepless nights bring. You still have a number of fertile years ahead of you. It isn't the 50's anymore where late in life babies were extremely high risk. Spend a bit of time getting your life set up to welcome the baby and then go ahead.

I think just about everyone agrees on this point, albeit using slightly more refined language to express their reservations. :P

one option would be one of you join the military, then the hospital bills would be covered. either that or pony up the money for insurance.

She's 33, so the Army will take her until she's 42. The Marine Corps might waive the age restriction of 25. The Navy's age limit is 35 and the Air Force age limit is 27, but the reserves will take people up to 34. So that is an option.
