Hi can someone please help feels like we have been on such a long journey but nearing the end. My questions are:-

1. I have sent packet 3 to Embassy but attached my 2 US sized passport photos to the DS156, will the cause a problem? Im sure its been done in the past but Ive read on here that you should take these to the Embassy, so should I obtain 2 new ones?

2. Also will sending packet 3 before Ive had my medical slow things down? As I sent this recorded delivery on Friday 18th March as DOS told me London had sent out packet 3 on the 15th March which has still not arrived. My medical is booked for 31st March.

3. My US Fiance has still not received the hard copy NOA2 yet and this was received by the NVC and sent to London on 9th March. We need this for AOS, should I call NVC and ask them to send another one.

4. Would it be helpful to pay my MRV fee now or wait until an interview is scheduled which I believe wont happen until my medical results are sent to Embassy.

Thank you all this site has been an absolute god send, so informative and helpful. Congrats to all who have made it and good luck to all who are still waiting. :P

Im sure its been done in the past but Ive read on here that you should take these to the Embassy, so should I obtain 2 new ones? :wacko:Won't cause a problem, but take some to the interview just in case

2. Also will sending packet 3 before Ive had my medical slow things down? As I sent this recorded delivery on Friday 18th March as DOS told me London had sent out packet 3 on the 15th March which has still not arrived. My medical is booked for 31st March. My Packet 3 was sent out before having the medical too, this is not a problem either

3. My US Fiance has still not received the hard copy NOA2 yet and this was received by the NVC and sent to London on 9th March. We need this for AOS, should I call NVC and ask them to send another one. You should give it 30 days before getting too worried about this. If it has still not appeared after this time, then chase it up.

4. Would it be helpful to pay my MRV fee now or wait until an interview is scheduled which I believe wont happen until my medical results are sent to Embassy. MRV can be paid as soon as you have you LND#. No need to wait for the interview to be scheduled.

looking at your time line it seems that packet 3 didnt take too long.

My case was received at the embassy on the 15th march as i spoke to them today. i asked the guy when packet 3 would b sent he said it would be dealt with on a case by case thing.

I asked him if i could send in my documents for packet 3 now but he advised me to wait till i actually receive packet 3 which i think is ridiculous as its only a letter asking me to send in documents.

any tips?

Hi you do have to wait until packet 3 has been issued by the Embassy as they then have a case logged for you, if you were to send packet 3 docs before this it could cause a delay, should be any day now when this is logged. Just keep calling DOS I done this on a daily basis when I knew NVC had sent the notification to London. You do not have to wait for packet 3 letter has it will probably never arrive, I have still not received mine but sent my docs to Embassy on 18th March.

Also as you now have an LND number you can go ahead and book your medical appointment with the Knightsbridge doctors.

Good luck.
