Hi everyone,

I just wanted to get some opinions. I applied for a B2 visa, my interview date is April 5 2011, in pakistan Islamabad. The reason I want to come to USA is to visit my sister. I am 45 years old, married have 4 kids. I am retired army but now work in an office. My sister is 48 years old, for the past 10 years she has has End stage renal disease (kidney failure). She has been on dialysis for 5 years. Our dad went to visit her on a B2 visa last year from feb 2010-june 2010. He came back very worried because she was always in hospital, and was in very bad shape. However, she received a kidney transplant on july 19 2010. It has been a rough year, so many medications, and she now also has diabetes because of the medications. However, now she is doing well, not well enough that she can travel. But well enough that she can take care of herself. She has 6 kids, and has been in the US since 1995. she is a Green card holder and the rest of family is US citizen. Our mother died when we were really young, so she is everything to me. I am sponsoring myself and taking proof of employment, income, bank statement. I own property in pakistan as well. My sister sent me a letter which she wrote to the consulate and A letter from her doctor and some pics of her with her nurses. My job will only allow me 2 months off. What are my chances for getting a visit visa? Anything else I should take with me? Or any other opinions? And i have only been to Cambodia and saudia arabia.

Thanks!

I would say your chances are reasonably good, as you have a good job and own property at home, plus you are leaving several kids behind. Good luck!
