He would have the police record prior to the interview so if there was something on it they would have already known...

The police and medical records were both sealed. Only the non-impediment of marriage was an open document. I have no idea what to think. Something's wrong and I guess only the embassy knows. :(

Awww so sorry......to not know anything is not a good feeling  Hopefully, you will have some more answers next week since todays Friday and its the weekend. Did they give a date range on how long it will take to decide? PM whoever has been through this scenario if you can. There are a lot of VJers who have probably been through your same situation with no answer... (F) Take Care!

Honesty is the best policy but never use honesty as an excuse to be hurtful.

Thanks ShaNette for the advice. I will keep fighting for answers. If not... I can always move to Jamaica and cause trouble there. :D Sad that we have to wait so many days, weeks, months and pay all this money just to love.

yes you could try the senator thing...Mine contacted the embassy on my behalf in order to get an interview before our baby was born so he could be here for the birth...worth a try...but hard to say since you don't know what is going on.

I hope the best...sounds bad but remember it wasn't an outright denial...there is still hope

So sorry about what happened. Hopefully it just a delay or a process change and not the "d" word. Call you Senators office. Call both of them and see if they can help you.

Thanks for the info BringMyBabyHome and acrow.. I will contact my congressman pronto. Never hurts to try.

Thanks americandiva. I'm hoping to get answers soon as to why we are pending AP. I would've been much more satisfied with a denial than not knowing why we're waiting for an approval. I agree that the consular could have mentioned something if there was a problem with the police record or the medical exam, but we got nothing...which leads me to believe they want more time to scrutinize my information for reasons to deny us. This is odd because wouldn't the USCIS, Visa Center or Dept. of State have denied us a long time ago? I am ashamed to say that it seems like if we had submitted a bunch of lies... we could've been approved much faster. When you give them the truth, they want more details. I will win this battle.... hands down. :D

Not neccasarily...with the K1, its usually always approved on our end first. The embassy is the one who can and does deny applicants. In a sense, they trump the US's initial decision. But just pray all goes well and enjoy your weekend, cause worrying is just going to drive you nuts.... :bonk: Easier said then done....I know the feeling

Honesty is the best policy but never use honesty as an excuse to be hurtful.

Exactly, stay positive.. Sometimes we may loose the fight, but the big outcome is to win the battle. : :)
