CSC is a bit slower than VSC, 30 days would be extremely unusual for that center, more like 2-3 months. They also have a very large back-log of petitions caused by IMBRA earlier this year, and filers from March-April are just getting NOA2. One other thing causing delays at CSC is the fact that around the time of the IMBRA problem USCIS started sending all I-129F and I-130 petitions from TSC, and NSC to CSC.

So better just be prepared for the long road, at least 2 but as high as 4 months wait.

If you look at your time line then click show similar timelines you will see 20 in the same situation as you, there are many more, the 20 were kind enough to do their timelines.

The VJ timeline is an always changing guestimate based on other VJ members' approvals. Mine says Aug 14 and I'm still waiting. CSC is still yet to approve some cases which are 6 months old - if you get an approval before December consider it a bonus! Keep watching - it will change from week to week depending on the action at CSC.

You are not telling me anything I do not know, if you had read my post carefully you would have seen I said "same service center" I know VSC is much more than a "bit" faster than CSC heck I had my NOA1 before you SENT your petition and you are already approved...I knew what kind of wait I was in for long before I sent my petition. I was just asking for someone that knows, why my timeline is longer than many that filed after me at the same service center. I know the timeline means nothing. My question is in reference to how its calculated.

You need to tone down your attitude. You filed 2 weeks before YuAndDAn who took the time to try to answer your question.

Why don't you try reading the footnote regarding adjudication estimates?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences

(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.

Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily

predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing

times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing

briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not

rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application

is past due.

...... your file is in STORAGE room 125B, in the basement, right along with many others. I'm sure they'll get to that room though right after everyone at CSC takes their two weeks of vacation, and then has another two weeks of inservice meetings, oh, and don't forget 10 coffee break per day.

Don't feel too bad though, because I'm sure that my petition is in STORAGE room 789-C, in the east wing of the basement. I'll have to wait until after they take off the party hats and finish sweeping the floor from their New Year's party. ;)

6/29 - NEW I-129 mailed to CSC

7/21 - NOA1 issued

9/21 - finally ... my first touch!!

9/21 - NOA2 issued

Maybe you need to tone up your reading comprehension...I STILL am NOT asking anything to do with when my petition will be adjucated...I was asking about HOW the timelines are calculated

VJ timelines are calculated by the data each member inputs in their timelines. Of course many members never update theirs so things get a little off.

The part in your timeline that says your case will be adjudicated in XX days is calculated by this same estatistics, taking in consideration the service center used, the beneficiary's country, type of visa and all other info supplied.

I think it calculated by an #######/b*tch detector. The bigger an ####### or b*tch you are, the longer your file sits and waits. Judging by your posts, I get the sense you're a BIG #######/b*tch so I'd guess you'll have to wait until hell freezes over before you get adjudicated. Maybe you'll even get a denial after all that wait. Would it be justice served?

Yes thank you, but let me give you an example; my friend filed about two weeks after me-same service center, same local office, same beneficiary country, same embassy same everything (our fiancees even live very close together) the only

difference is he filed later than me, but his timeline gives an adjucation date a month before me, this makes no sense.

Good lord, it's an "approximation" of when your petition will be adjudicated, it is impossible for it to be exact, and is probably more incorrect now than ever due to the IMBRA fiasco. At one point mine said Nov. I was approved at the beginning of August... so take it with a grain of salt and move on with your life

Yes, I understand that, unlike most people here I am not in a hurry for my petition to be adjucated.

I was only asking because it does not make sense to me and I wanted to understand- thats all.
