We've just gotten breaking news that a judge in Wisconsin has issued a temporary restraining order halting implementation of Gov. Walker's union-busting bill. The ruling is not on the merits of the bill but based on the Republican senators cutting corners getting the bill to a vote.

It would appear the state senators can still go through the motions again and pass the bill without cutting the same corners.

Our full report.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

This should be interesting. The Wisconsin Secretary of State has until next Friday to publish the bill in the state's journal, which is the last step in enacting the law.

They passed a second bill?

If they think they need to they will. It didn't matter if the 14 dem senators were there or not they will still have the votes. If this judge blocks the bill over a minor procedural problem they will just do it again. All this does is slow it down, it will not kill it.

Can't wait for the claims of judicial activism on this one.

No complaints from me. I would prefer the Dems to go back and vote. Wouldn't you?
