Any ideas on how to expedite K-1?

I have seen it work at the Embassy/Consulate level ..... but only in cases where Senators are involved, and the pregnancy is high-risk, and/or the mother is the beneficiary (the non-Us citizen).

BUT ........ !! It's likely that your petition wouldn't normally be at the Consulate that long anyhow (therefore there won't be any real benefit), AND, it's not a written rule .... there's no guarantee that your Senator will get involved, and/or that anyone in the process with have symapthy for your situation. It could backfire on you.

6/29 - NEW I-129 mailed to CSC

7/21 - NOA1 issued

9/21 - finally ... my first touch!!

9/21 - NOA2 issued

No one wants to see a pregnant woman/infant on different sides of countries' borders with a baby daddy?

Is this a go or a no-go for expedited approval? What say you?

This can not be a serious question.

Unfortunetly, 2 weeks later she lost the baby due to complications.

But, a normal pregnancy, no

So sorry to hear that Erik. That's so sad. Wish your fiancee a better pregnancy next time.

I'm curious, did the USCIS ask for documention as to whether you are able to pay for her health care if she came in early? This gets technical of course, but if she's not your wife yet, she can't get coverage with your health insurance and I'm not sure you can get temporary health coverage if she's already pregnant. So did the USCIS care about the medical cost of a high risk pregnancy or your ability to fund the medical care?

Thanks SirLance, it was a difficult time, but we pray the next time all will go well, and she'll already be here, so hopefully much better all around.

They did not ask me anything about financials, or insurance in regards to this. They basically just wanted proof of what the Dr. was saying. Also, my fiance is about a 3 hours bus ride from any kind of credible hospital, so that was another huge concern if she needed immediate emergency treatment. So, I don't know if they take that into consideration for things like this, I think they are more focused on the situation itself.

Not 100% sure though, as we never made it to the expedite process.

My son was a year and 2 months before his daddy was approved and over here with us.

My being pregnant and having a baby did not and would not help with the K1 process at all.

Theres a difference between being pregnant before and during the process and getting pregnant in hopes the process will move faster. Guess which one pisses me off everytime i see it on here when ppl ask it??

Not to mention, shouldnt people have children because they WANT to have children? Not have them to use them to their advantage because of selfishness????

SirLancelot,

Recall that it's the consulates that consider the public charge requirements in the course of processing the visa application.

You can't be seriously contemplating this as a way of expediting actions. By the time she is pregnant you will likely get approval anyway. Keep it in your pants until she arrives. Did you consider that she might not work out when she arrives. Don't confuse lust for love. If you want to expedite things, make sure all of your paperwork is in order and just wait. Writing to the service center does not help. I tried that and they lost my file for three weeks after taking it out to put my letter in. Consider the length of time you plan to be together and compare it to the waiting period. Not much of a consideration after that.

Just get your home situation in place for the arrival of your intended. I'm sure there are lots of things around the house that need fixing, cleaning, painting or just darn replacing. Look around for stores that may carry products she's familar with. In my case, I have to drive 1 1/2 hours to find a store with Russian/Ukrainian products. But the smile my wife exhibits when we enter the store is well worth the drive.

So, get you act together and the time will pass much quicker.
