Wow, it seems you are ahead of the game. I guess having an update on your case it is a good sign, i never got an update except for a RFE and just last month it still said that I had a RFE  They don't always update. You should be getting a response pretty soon.

Good Luck!

by the way, I followed the EZguide to spouse, i think that's the name, just because I thought it was more simple.

Add a couple of cover sheets to those and you're ready to go. You don't need proof of relationship at NVC. So take that off the list.

For AOS if your Household is 2 including your spouse than you need to have Adjusted Gross Income of $18,387 or above. Take a look at the link.

Looks like you have everything... Except, I don't think you are supposed to send proof of relationship to NVC, save it for the interview.

Also, don't forget to include a photocopy of the entire DS-230 package with your DS-230 submission.

Hope your petition gets approved soon! :)

Awesome, Thank You Guys. I will take your advice and make the changes. BTW I have also read the EZGuideSpouse Guide and yes it is simple and to the point. I just wanted to make sure that I have all the things I need, so I don't get any Hickups when I am at the NVC Level. And I also Hope and Wish that this recent update on my I-130 means something good. I did called USCIS and the lady told me that I would not hear anything about my I-130 until next month, but I hope it is Approved and we can move along.

CaliforniaGuy, I totally forgot to put in the list the Cover Sheet, but I will also include those too and of course I will take off the Proof of Relationship too. As for the AOS, currently in the US, we have a house and in there it's Me, Mom, Dad, and brother, but only me and my mom work. I did talk to my Dad and he told me that I shouldn't need the Support for my AOS.

After looking at the Proverty Guideline, for Household Size of Four (Not Including my Wife) The requirement is $27,937 Gross Income and just for myself I think I have higher Grosee Income, so I should be good, Right?

"For AOS if your Household is 2 including your spouse than you need to have Adjusted Gross Income of $18,387 or above. Take a look at the link."

Caly - I quit didn't understand what you were recommending "Also, don't forget to include a photocopy of the entire DS-230 package with your DS-230 submission." Can you share what you mean on these DS-230 Stuff?

Thank You Everyone!

Hum.. This is what I meant:

  1. assemble your DS-230 packet completely
  2. make a copy of the whole thing [and maybe 2 more copies for your own records and to send to your spouse]
  3. send out (1) and (2) to NVC

I read somewhere to include that copy of the entire package... Thought was the NVC website, but since I cannot find it anymore now, it's probably just recommended but not required. Maybe the only reason to do this is so that they will return your original civil documents at the interview and still have a copy for their records. Otherwise you probably won't get your originals back.

Sorry for the confusion!

Wouldn't let me edit my post to add this.

The EZGuideSpouse has the following items listed under things to include in the IV packet:

a. Bar-coded cover sheet

b. 2 Passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary

c. Completed and signed form DS-230 Part 1 by the beneficiary

d. Completed and 'unsigned' form DS-230 Part 2 by the beneficiary

e. Photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport

f. Original/Certified birth certificate of the beneficiary

g. Original/Certified marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner

h. Original police certificate(s) of the beneficiary

i. Original/Certified divorce decree of the beneficiary's prior marriage(s), if applicable

j. Original military certificate of the beneficiary, if applicable

k. 1 set Photocopy of all the above civil documents

The bolded item was what I was thinking about, but what I read was to submit a copy of everything, not just the civil documents. These will probably suffice. :)

OK here is how the AOS goes. You do not need to show everyone in your household if they are not sending in an AOS. Only the ones that you need for income have to. For example if you have gross adjusted income above $18,387 than ONLY YOU file I-864 and put the household as 2 with your spouse. If you do not fulfill the needed amount than you can add one of your parents than your household size would be 3 and would need $23,162 and your parent would need to file I-864A. So to make it easier to understand. As your household you only show the people who will be included in AOS so no need to show others if their income will not be factored in.

Good advice Caly, but as far as I now is only copy of civil documents together with original or certified copy. At least is what we did asking other VJ members that have gone true all process.

I have Requested the Tax Return Transcript from the IRS and they should arrive with in 5-10 Days. I just did it online!

Clay - Thank You for your help. If I understand everything, I need total of Four Copies of DS-230 Packet. One for my record, One for Wife and Two Copies go to NVC, So I can get my Orginal Documents Back when my Wife goes for here Interview. Is my Understanding Correct? Are the Extra Copies Necessary? I thought by default, when my Wife will go for her Interview, all the Documents will be returned?

CalifroniaGuy - Thank You for your help. After reading your comment, it looks like that I will be the ONLY person filling out I-864 Form and with that my supporting Documents. There is no Need for my Parents Help, since my Gross Income is HIgher then what is needed. And in the Household Size # on I-864, It will be me and my wife. I only need to include the household size with my parents if they are helping me. Am I right on understanding this?

Never_Lose_Hope - Thank You for your help. So How many copies did you make for DS-230 Packet and How many did you send to NVC? I will look into filling out the Timeline. I haven't done it yet, because I don't know how. But I I will look into it.

Yes that's correct. When you're doing the I-864 there is a place where it says "if you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse" Just ignore that and put 0. Its a bit confusing so I just wanted to let you know ahead of time. Good luck.

Awesome, Thank you for your help CaliforniaGuy. When I helped my Dad Penition his brothers, I was a bit confused in that area. At that time, since my Dad's didn't work, me and mom helped him out with his I-864. Again Thank You fo ryour help, hopefully that recent update will have some good meaning behind it.
