Today i called the 1-800 number to check on my case since we just passed 5 months, the guy said i am outside the 5 month period but when he tried to put in a service request he said"it wont let me." Then he said if i dont here anything in 30 days to call back..... anyone hear this too??? Also he mentioned they are still doing september petitions.

10/19/2010 - NOA1 hard copy received, dated 10/15/2010

04/08/2011- received NOA2 hard copy, dated 04/05/2011

04/12/2011- NVC received petition

04/18/2011- received letter from NVC

04/27/2011- medical exam passed

Yeah, the "call back in 30 days" seems to be their standard answer.

I would write your representative, since your case is beyond the 5-month mark. It wouldn't hurt.

This is very common our 6 months is next week and we were finally able to put a service request in on tuesday...call them back in another week or two and try again

They tell all sorts of excuses to everyone. We filed in September and we never saw any update since the 3rd of October. But yeah, it will come soon. Hang in there. B-)

hang in there mate, we filed ours the 23rd of September 2010, have not heard a thing since our receipt and my girl called up today to put in a service request and the lady was real nice about it all and said they were up to September 11 at the moment so hopefully soon everything will happen!! wish they would hurry up but so soon and once you get your first mail, the waiting time will speed up... :)
