Hello, i am sorry for what you're going through, your only solution is to transfer the case to another US consulate in another country, have you considered looking into that ?

Find a job you love to do, and you will never work another day in your life.

The only solution has already been suggested. In your reply to the suggestion, you stated that trying to go to another country is not economically feasible for you to do. Since it's not feasible for you to have your case moved, there is really not much you can do until the State Department reopens the Embassy in Cairo.

In short, you wait. I'm sure it doesn't seem fair to you but it would not be fair to Consular workers to be brought into an unsafe situation in order to provide a service intended to extend a privilege. When it is safe to open the Embassy and begin providing Consular services including visa interviews, the US Dept. of State will do just that. Until then, you wait.

For a point of reference, shortly after September 11, 2001, all spouse and fiance and some other visa issuance was put on hold for more than a year. People in your exact situation, even those with interviews scheduled, had to wait for more than a year to see any progress at all in their journey. Hang in there. This too shall pass.

so u advice us to wait or find away to transfer our file to uae?

I feel for you at this time, it is heartbreaking to read :(

As well contacting American Embassy's in neighbouring countries, I would also contact every single newspaper and tv station in Egypt, and neighbouring countries too. Even the local paper where the NVC in America is based.

Be pro-active about this, tell as many people as you can, the faster you spread this news about your situation, the faster you may be able to do something about it. :)

Remember, you have nothing to lose, but everything to gain!
