Hi everyone!

My interview is already set by the end of Sept. and now, I am preparing our checklist... I don't know if I have almost everything complete, but I think I have covered the basics like certificates, bills and insurances, letters and proof of relationship, etc.

The only thing that I am wondering about now is, should I be bringing "ALL" of our bills? or is it like, just the latest 3 months? or just the first and last billing cycles? Should I bring the old phonebills (we changed phone provider last year) or just the new ones? :help:

It's been almost more than a year before we filed for AOS and I would really hate to "HAUL A BOX OF EVIDENCES" B) not knowing for how long or which of those should I be bringing. And also plus the fact that I've read here in the forums that at times, they won't even ask for you to bring out all the stuff that you've brought at the interview.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. :)

Absolute neccessity: Insurances, Mingled Finances, Bills in both names.

My advice bring everything. For the whole year. Anyway it s better to keep everything organized. Make copies, sort them into binders. Put in a big bag. Usually when they see amount of paper, and if you are fast in pulling what they want, they wont question you a lot. Anyway You still will need that papers for removing conditions.

We only had a bank account and car title with both our name on them. They took copies of the car title and our earliest and latest bank statements. Think they are looking for evidence that you have been and are living together. Also they were interested in anything addressed to my wife at our address.

We took tons of papers along to the interview, which was in Omaha, but they only looked at what I mentioned above.

Good luck and don't worry, if you have everything in order you won't have any problem.

Thank you type2negative. I don't think I would be getting a conditional AOS... we've been married for more than 2 years now (turning 3 years this december) :)(L)

I just needed the duration of the bills or paperworks that I shall be bringing with me to the interview :) I don't want to bring a big whole box you know ;) because we have tons of bills :):P so, I was hoping I'd be able to bring just the needed ones...

Thank you, too, billh56!
