Medical Examination and certified English translation doc.

Hi everybody,

I have some questions about Medical Examination and certified english translation. I got AOS letter for interviews on March and now I preparing everything ready for that. (I came here with K-1 visa)

My question is

1. Do I need new medical examination (Form I-693) since I already did that when I summited for K-1 visa?

I just came here for 5 months and I did medical examination in my country before I arrived here only a month.

2. In the letter they told that " You must bring the following items with you" .......bla...bla...bla....last one it is " A certified English translation for each foreign languague document. The translator must certify that she/he is fluent in both languagues and that the translation in its entirely is complete and accurate."

All paperwork I already hire a company to translation in my country and I sent to certify at the consular before I came here. Do I have to do something else with that ? Or I able to use them for my interviews.?

Are all adjustment of status applicants required to have a medical examination?

Most applicants for adjustment of status are required to have a medical examination. The medical examination must be conducted by a civil surgeon who has been designated by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). The examination must be documented using Form I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status.

EXCEPTIONS:

Ks: If you were admitted to the United States as a fiance(e) (K-1), child of a fiance(e) (K-2), Spouse of a U.S. citizen (K-3), or child of K-3 (K-4), and received a medical examination prior to admission, then you do not require another medical examination as long as your application for adjustment of status (Form I-485) is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. You will, however, be required to submit a vaccination supplement with our adjustment of status application. The vaccination supplement must be completed by a designated civil surgeon.

2. All Thai documents you take to the interview with you must have a translation with you. If you already had it done then no problem. If some of your documents aren't translated then have them translated.

My wife was in a similar timeline to yours;

No, No new medical exam - and we just sent in the vaccination worksheet (No civil surgeons I693.)

No, new translations - they were all submitted with the AOS (I485) application - so we just took another set of copies (and originals) with us.
