There's a major difference between the idiots that hit south places in the US for spring break, and the peeps at the night clubs over in Belarus. For one...several of the dancers that came to sit at our table actually had a clue on politics, economics, etc... they are actually educated over there and don't act like iPhone idiots with half a brain.

Sexy yet smart. It's an entire different class of folks...hard to explain but the difference is there.

Not all American colleges have spring break the same week. Sounds to me like you may have gone on spring break with a bunch of community college students or maybe NCSU. You should have gone when UPenn goes on spring break.

Yes let's see now...a few weeks with a bunch of nerd door knobs during spring break, or sexy sophisticated RUB women in a first class night club.

It's pretty much a no brainer imo.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

You haven't been there, that much is clear.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=spring%20break%20florida&search=Search&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&spell=1 <--- Your trying to compare a class B minor league baseball team to the Yankee's.

There's nothing similar between the two. You can have your spring break, I'l take a RUB club any day over that.

I've been on spring break and the accounts I've read so far sound just like it. It figures this is all so awesome to you guys given how you've never experienced anything in this country. Gary has never even been clubbing in the U.S. so no wonder he is so enamored of clubs in the Ukraine. He doesn't know any better. As for you, you've probably never even been to college so obviously the spring break experience passed you right by. I am actually happy for you that you both have experienced what your fellow Americans have also experienced, albeit much later in life. Better late than never.

It's obvious you haven't travelled all that much outside the US. And fyi I did two years in college and hated every day of it. I'm not a desk type of guy.

Even when it comes to Europe it's not the same. There's Western Europe which is similar to the US but with castles, and then there's Eastern Europe. I think everyone should spend at least a few weeks in Eastern Europe just to see the difference. There's the good and the bad...but when your there you know your "not in Kansas anymore"...so to speak. Try it once.

You mean you washed out, right? Straight Ds?

Nope not even. My wife and I were both attending college and working and still trying to make our house payments. It was an obvious choice for me. Make the good money doing something I liked at the time which was hanging iron (Iron Workers union) or lose my house.

Speaking of trolling...

“Insist on yourself; never imitate. Your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation; but of the adopted talent of another, you have only an extemporaneous half-possession. That which each can do best, none but his Maker can teach him.” — Emerson

That explains a lot. So you never experienced in your college years what most American kids did and now you're getting the frustration out of your system. I understand.

I was working full time and going to college and had children.

I am really not "doing it now" this was a few years ago when I lived in Odessa.

I'm not a desk guy either bu I did collect an MS. I hate to work inside and spend most of my day at work outside but now I am semi-retired and work only 20-25 hours per week

You need to get layed off like me :P I had a desk this last job for the city here but it was mainly for ordering parts,..that and I had grease everywhere on it. But it was a nice break sometimes from the cold. I used the excuse I had to do P/O's for whenever I felt like getting out of the field. :D

On a bad note...I'm travelling back to the slope this summer for the shut downs on the oil mods up there... 85 - 110+ hours a week, six weeks on, 2 weeks off. :(

You and I need to win one of those big fat power ball lotto's Gary.

Also, lets be clear. I am not "enamored" of clubs in Ukraine. I have been to dance clubs in Ukraine several times but they were not my favorite place to hang out by any means (I hate the music) and it was just as easy to pick up a woman at an outdoor cafe and a lot easier to talk. We can get down and dirty later at my place. I only meant to say that if I were meeting a woman for the first time in Ukraine and didn't know if she liked that kind of thing, I would not take her to one of the dance clubs. My favorite place was the "Irish Pub" (the one with the UK flag out front  ) just around the corner from my flat. It is where all the foreign English speaking workers hung out, which was like putting my brain in neutral (language wise) and there was no shortage of hot women there either. They had a menu in "sort of English" and the service staff spoke English, sort of. It was mostly Brits and Aussies, not so many Americans but the Americans on the "love tours" would always drop in and tell us how lucky we were to live there with all the hot women. Heck, I would offer them jobs but no one wanted to work 60 hours a week for $300...per month. Go figure. I guess hot women only go so far.

If I ever bought a ticket maybe I would win. I do construction management so I do my reports whenever at home (sometimes 3 am if Alla is up studying) and visit job sites during the day, never before 10 am  I don't own a tie and haven't for years. I wear the same clothes the workers do, I just have a different color helmet.

But I have been off to strange and uncomfortable places for extended periods. Good adventure when you are younger. My last big job was in Montreal. Now I am a stay at home guy. I actually retired and then was hired by one of my clients as an in-house consultant/advisor/manager. I'll do this a few more years and then we are outta here!
