Normal. Alla uses that word a lot. A stunning knockout woman is "normal" Last night we were driving through Burlington and a man, obviously drunk, was staggering down the middle of the street. (it was St Pat's day, he is probably Irish) and Alla said "It is the first normal man I have seen in Vermont"

be careful Johnny, with the word "beautiful". SHE is the ONLY "beautiful woman" the others are "attractive" or "normal" It is OK to THINK "Holy mother of GOD!!!!!" but you have to SAY "meh...yes, normal looking woman"

That's why I'm a firm believer of wearing shades while your over there. I can't help it...I look..not that I try, it just comes natural. And over there it's like #######...I mean it's one hot chick after another..stores, cafe's, subways,...there's no end to it. It's heaven. But if you have those mirrored shades there's no way you can get caught looking unless you screw up and turn your head when they walk past you. Made that mistake a few times over.

If I was Johnny, I would be getting the darkest mirrored shades I could get my hands on before I hopped that plane.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

These RUB threads amaze me at how they the get moving on so many useful topics.

Just had 4 hours Skype session with my girl. Gotta love Skype, such a good value! One the few excellent freebies left in this world. I guess it's good on Friday night that she is home chatting with me instead if hitting the clubs.

Yep Gary...I do like watching that girl on the treadmill walking. Just seen it again on my DirectTV with the big screen, A beautiful site...yes I can see that walking with high heels as well.. that guy in the commercial is my new hero.

Why_Me, I'm definitely going with a good set of tinted shades. I get the feeling my girl would get a little ticked if I was staring at another, she seems a bit possessive which is OK ;)

Yaaaa, she's already asked me a few times about all the other pretty girls on the agency site and how come I choose her, so I used some tips from here in that instance and worked like a charm. "Ohhh my dear all those other thousands girls are nice, but they're not beautiful and special like you"

Good advice Baron, thx... yeah actually my parents aren't so jazzed about this right now. I think they are still reeling about what happened last year. I believe this girl in Kiev is so different in every way possible and once that comes out things will be golden. She's honest, smart, cultured and goal oriented, she works and supports herself, she can cook, has a degree in accounting and here's the fringe benefit...she's an FN gorgeous FSU chick! Even after 10 hrs of work and 1 hr on the metro, she's still hot when I see her. Ohhhh yeah, everyone here would be so jealous once they see her. The roommate seems pretty nice too. I should be well taken care of.

I'll try to think about notes for trip report when I get back.

Good answer. They DO know there are lots of other beautiful women, do not try to tell them otherwise. But she is "special" They are pretty blunt and honest so BS just doesn't cut it. A 4 hour skype session indicates she is pretty serious, at least leaning that way. Remember also that her life is not as easy as a comparable woman's life here, things take longer to do, she doesn't have a car, probably doesn't have a dryer for her clothes and has to iron everything, she may even wash her clothes by hand in the tub. Hot water is not always available so boiling water on the stove for a bath...etc. 4 hours is a big amount of time for her to carve from her day. Alla and I used to spend 1-2 hours per day on the phone in 3-4 calls. (we didn't use skype because she was always moving around in her job and so was I, we talked when we could wherever we were) She probably works 6 days per week and probably long hours for a paltry amount of money.

Good luck

Its a Ukrainian thing. They are always going to "bite" someone.

Coal mine accidents were/are an all too regular thing around Donetsk and I remember a woman who's friend had a son that died in one of the accidents saying "If I could see the owner of that mine I would bite him on the leg!"

So I sometimes hear the threat (usually in jest) "Do that and I will bite you until you die" or (possibly worse) "I will bite your c*ck into two equal pieces" (lengthwise? Or crosswise? Only she knows the answer) :wow: Or sometimes just "I will bite you"

It's not always a threat. "Don't be scared, I don't bite" is also possible. Sometimes :)

somehow this got posted in the other thread and doesn't make sense there... but yes I did threaten to bite my friend yesterday, if he climbed on top of the piano. (???? WHY WOULD YOU EVEN WANT TO DO THAT.)

:rofl::rofl: I saw that - and wondered :rofl::rofl:

It's true, mine works 6 days a week. Phys Ed teacher during the week, a second privat aerobics job 4 evenings and Saturday. No water period for two days when I was with her over New Years. No dryer and yes she hangs clothes on her small balcone. I know she will be relieved to have ample hot water and other conveniences when she gets here. Oh and the power outages happen frequently too.

They especially notice it after they have been here a while and go back to visit. Alla has very little tolerance for these things now. She gets very upset at no hot water or power outages. She also has alomost no tolerance for buses and trolleys anymore. I told her she would not have to iron everything when she lived here because we wouldhave the dryer. She said she would iron everything anyway. No she doesn't. She hasn't used her iron in months that I know of.

When I lived there I had a very small washing machine under the kitchen counter in a cabinet. You could barely wash the amount of clothes you wear in one day. I had no dryer. I dried the clothes on a rack in the bathroom and had to iron everything or it was horribly wrinkled. It was truly sucky.

We have the "I don't bite" phrase here also. But the "I will bite you" phrase seems to be the coverall threat for mis-deeds.

Definitely a different attitude towards moving around Ukraine and basic conveniences. When you have no choice but the bus, it tends, I think, to make you a bit fatalistic about it. When every one around you dries clothes on a rack and irons, why would you think you need a "dry machine"?

I hadn't seen one of those yet... interesting.

I'm going to order one this summer. We are stuck out here in Dillingham (Bush Alaska) for another 14 months until Kira's contract with the hospital is up...then it's back to Big Lake for us. But our lease on this house ends at the end of August and the apt. were moving into doesn't have a washer & dryer hook up, and the laundry mat here is like $20 a load..or even more. So we saw this a few weeks ago and noticed it has accessories like "quick connect fittings", etc... and it has gotten some decent reviews by the looks of it. I figure I can resale it here for what I paid for it when we move back to civilization.
