hey,

Help me please with next: my wife permanent resident and want apply for reentry permit (travel document) for travel more than 1 year. She has Ukrainian passport with last name another of Green Card. Last time we applied for travel document and when comeback to U.S. we showed certificate of marriage and didn't have any problems. So, now she applied for replace green card (reason is legally changed name). But it will take few month and she can't wait. Can she apply for new travel document with maiden name and when we will back to U.S. after travel we will show again certificate of marriage but with new green card which will have new last name same in her passport? Thanks

the air line ticket name has to match her passport maiden name, her permanent resident card is in her now married name, thats ok but bring along your marriage certificate to be safe, when coming back to the us at the poe us citizen line, show your permanent resident card, he puts the numbers in the computer and up comes all your information, and photo of you,you put you finger in to take your finger prints, you should be fine have a nice trip.
