Hello VJ members,

I just completed the list of documents and added it to cover letter. Right now, my cover letter is longer than a page because along with long list, I am also including few explanations (1-2 lines) like why we don't have any mortgage/rent together or why we don't have any health insurance document together for 2011 when we've it for 2009-2010.

I don't have unusually long list but I wonder if I should just separate out list into a cover letter and then include another letter explaining why we don't have certain documents?

Here is the list I've:

1. Form I-751 signed by the petitioner and spouse

2. Check of $590.00 for application fee

3. Copy of petitioner’s green card

4. NCDMV issued driver’s license of both petitioners

5. Marriage certificate (copy)

6. Joint checking and savings bank account statements

7. Joint Federal tax return transcript for 2008 and 2009 and copy of our 2010 joint US tax return

8. Joint NC State Tax Return for the year 2008, 2009, and 2010

9. 401(k) plan beneficiary forms of the petitioner showing spouse as the beneficiary

10. Beneficiary Designation Form for the 401(k) plan of spouse showing petitioner as one of the beneficiary

11. Group Life/Travel Accident Insurance Policies of spouse showing petitioner as one of the beneficiary

12. petitioner’s HSA Beneficiary document showing spouse as the beneficiary

13. petitioner’s employment benefits for the year 2011 showing spouse as beneficiary

14. Joint stock account statements for the year 2009 and 2010.

15. Car insurance renewal notice of the petitioner showing spouse as a driver

16. Joint 2010 Health/Dental Insurance documents

a. 2010 Dental Insurance claim history

b. 2010 Health Insurance benefit and statements

d. Hospital bills showing spouse as Guarantor and the petitioner as patient.

17. Joint Sam's and AAA membership

18. Copy of Discover and MasterCards cards showing a joint credit card account

19. Joint cell phone bills

20. Three sworn affidavits by mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and a friend, attesting to our relationship and marriage

21. Airline tickets, rental car receipts, hotel receipts, and entrance tickets, etc for vacation/trips to PlaceX, PlaceY, and PlaceZ

22. Pictures of vacation and with friends/family

23 Invitation card to our names.

Also, let me know if I should add anything in this list.

09/11/2012 - Received a letter saying case transferred Lee's Summit, MO
02/15/2013 - Received an email saying case is approved

02/18/2013 - NVC received the case
03/11/2013 - NVC case # assigned
03/12/2013 - Petitioners' email corrected, Beneficiary's email added
03/13/2013 - DS3032 received
03/13/2013 - DS3032 email sent (was sent before the we received the DS3032)
03/13/2013 - AOS fee invoiced and Paid (shows In Progress)
03/14/2013 - AOS fee shows PAID
03/14/2013 - AOS package sent (overnight next-day delivery)
03/15/2013 - AOS package delivered to NVC on 03/15/2013 at 10:06:00
03/19/2013 - Re-sent DS-3032 email with Supervisor Review on subject
03/21/2013 - DS-3032 accepted
03/22/2013 - IV fee invoiced and paid
03/25/2013 - IV fee shows PAID
03/25/2013 - IV package sent (overnight next-day delivery)
03/26/2013 - IV package delivered to NVC on 03/26/2013 at 10:04am
03/27/2013 - AOS accepted
04/08/2013 - IV checklist found out by phone - NVC lost our marriage certificate sad.png
04/09/2013 - IV checklist email received
04/16/2013 - IV Checklist response mailed - new Marriage Certificate

04/16/2013 - Case Complete (they found our first marriage certificate during supervisor review??)
04/17/2013 - NVC received IV Checklist response
04/23/2013 - Case Complete email from NVC

05/13/2013 - Medical

06/03/2013 - Interview

Honestly I don't think it matters how you do it. Whatever is the most readable is probably best, but either way they will figure it out. Good luck! :)

You could write the cover letter on one page and list your evidence on a second page and note it as an enclosure under your signature on the cover letter, same as business or legal correspondence.

OBX - I remember you from the CR-1 visa time. You're planning to send out I751 anytime soon too?
