Resend application or Infopass?

Its like just not even a single applicant worrying about N400 application too slow in Phoenix Lockbox, I am thinking probably they didn't receive my application even though usps says they delivered it, its been 14 days in total haven't heard anything, 10 working days today, I thought of resending my application??? or make an INFOPASS? Will infopass delay the process more?

PS. I called uscis but they were asking about my receipt number, they said they can't keep track with just an alien number :(

help pls, any thought would be greatly appreciated, I needed any ideas

Again - like you said it's only been 10 business days and USPS states that it was delivered and signed for? I understand your impatience, but I think you need to wait a little longer then 10 days...you don't just shoot off another package right away anyway.

If you choose not to wait and let's say Phoenix is just having a bit of a back up - you're going to cancel your check and then even if they get to it tomorrow...your check is now cancelled and then you will hold your app up by having rushed into cancelling it. They'll send it back to you etc etc...

If you have the receipt from USPS, perhaps you can follow-up again with them to confirm it was infact received?

I just think you don't want to screw yourself by jumping the gun - no matter which office you're going through...VAWA just waited 21 days

In this case Dont ever bother urself Making Infopass. If you still worried Call USCIS or their Number when u get Customer Service. tell them I want to talk to a 2nd Officer. they have to transfer you to 2nd Officer. then that one should be able to tell u about ur Case, by even giving him/her ur A#. because 2nd officer has access to some informations more than the Customer Service,

These are our dates with Phoenix,

Sent 11/15/10, personal check cashed, electronic bank 11/25/10, date on the NOA,11/30/10, was being generous by posting that date, we actually received that letter about five days later.

If you do on-line banking, gosh even a small bank in my town has that with a personal check, that is your first indication that they received your application. That check I print out and keep it in our file for proof, can't argue with a cashed personal check. But was a bit annoyed that Phoenix did not write the receipt number on the check, Nebraska did. After they are done playing with it, apparently send it to Missouri because that is where the biometrics appointment came from, they think we are in the Milwaukee field office. When thats done, goes back to Missouri, then shipped to your field office, that is when they first know about it. Then you wait until they get around it. Not bad though compared to about three years ago, when you didn't get your interview to about two years later.

What's the rush? Dealing with the USCIS, not exactly like buying a hamburger from Macs.

Thanks for your concern Nick but I need to get it done before my son's GC expire this coming October, I wouldn't be crazy about it if I don't have valid reason. I actually can apply last December as I got my 10 yr GC but I don't have the money yet

And I do have online banking with Wells Fargo I open as much as I can even at work but no luck until this very minute I am writing my reply

Thank you so much Sand, you helped me a lot, I just now talk to a second officer, and she told me they received the application actually in their office on 14th of March and they rejected the case and the officer don't know the reason behind and she asked me how much I wrote on the check and I said its $680 so she said you must missed some pages on the documents and she gave me the receipt number also, and I'll be expecting the mail back probably at the end of this week, at least I know what happened and not crazy thinking about it.....

Just read ur post . It happened to me too . I sent mine Dec 13 and i waited for the chk only to receive my entire packet on Dec 22 becuase i missed one page that i forgot to sliP in. Anyway , the next day i sent it back and 6 days after my check was encashed. This coming Mar 22 is my interview.

Well that's good news - although it seems a little scary that they say they received it on Mar 14th when you had sent it much earlier and they supposedly signed for it.

Stepdaughter could have applied last April, that is in the year of our Lord, 2010, she now has a scholarship to attend a university in Liverpool, but requires a US Passport to get there with additional concerns about overstaying her green card. But then she gets that dreaded a decision cannot be made at this time. But that was resolved and she is scheduled to get her certificate a week from today.

October seems an eternity away, but not with the USCIS, know of cases where a decision cannot be made at this time took 15 months to resolve. Best of luck. And it is luck!
