For K-3 I-129 interview

1. Do I use the I-134 or I-864??

I am using a co-sponsor since I have been living with my wife outside the U.S. and haven't worked this year.

2. Do both my co-sponsor and myself both fill out a seperate I-134 or I-864??

3. And should I bring my previose tax returns that show I made enough money in previouse years?? Or do they not care about previous years??

4. On Question 11, should my sponsor (who is my father) check that he will provide us room and board etc., since I have listed his address as my residence(again, I have been living with my wife outside the U.S.).

Note to anyone else not working and residing outside the U.S. with their spouse/fiance. Return home and get your job going as soon as the I-129 is approved!!!!

Thank all of ya'll for all your help and support. I will try to pass along any knowledge I learn along the way.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Thanks for the info Jen but we are using the Embassy in Costa Rica (sorry I didn't mention that). And I have found their website to be unreliable. I tried calling the CR embassy ands thge lady with whom I spoke was very nice but very uninformed, stating that I didn't need any forms and that pay stubs would be fine. I don't believe that. Also their website didn't attempt to answer my questions 2,3,4

Oh... well, a quick search revealed that no one else has a similar timeline to you, as I was going to suggest you pm someone who's in the same shoes... you've probably already thought of that though. :P

Most Embassies ask for the I-134 at this stage, so I would prepare that form. With either form, though, a sponsor and co-sponsor fill out separate forms. The I-134 does not require a tax return, but the Embassy itself might, so I would be prepared to have that as evidence as well.

As far as question 11 is concerned, if you will be living with your father, then yes, he should complete that as you have suggested. If you intend to establish your own residence, then he does not need to list any specific contribution in that regard, unless there is some other contribution he will be offering.
