Remember that touches don't mean very much and a lack of them mean even less. After all you get a touch when you change your own password. The important thing is if you are within parameters from the last USCIS response you recieved (ie they told you it would take 60 days to process your RFE)

I know you're all impatient but look at it this way, you didn't spend 13 months waiting for an approval.

7-6-2005 Sent paperwork to CSC

7-13-2005 NOA-1

12-27-2005 Called about out of process

1-3-2006 Response sent

2-3-2006 Called because response never made it, started out of process again

4-5-2006 Called again because nothing has happened got the response "nothing has changed"

4-11-2006 Emailed CSC

4-12-2006 Emailed Congressman

4-13-2006 Got response from CSC stating that the file has been requested for processing (Hopefull yeah!)

6-30-2006 Exchange email with CSC--file is being processed contact again in 30 days

7-30-2006 CSC no longer accepts email

8-21-2006 NOA-2 Fantastic!

9-8-2006 NVC supposedly sends to Embassy

10-4-2006 Embassy doesn't have paperwork yet?

10-11-2006 Interview set for 10-25-2006

Arch and Cel--- It's okay. I read some VJers got their approvals after waiting for more than a month or two of "no touch" cases... We waited for 41 days too (see my timeline) for the latest touch....God bless....our timeline's close. (F)

Typically when the USCIS works on your file, they will scan the barcode, which in turn generates a touch. There are however, many other reasons why your petition may be touched, examples being a phone call from you or congressman's office, moving from one place to another, etc., however changing your password on on the USCIS website will not generate a touch!

Your latest touch may be a good sign as they are doing something with it. Keep an eye on it. Peace!

Some people get touched frequently, others do not. There is no reasoning to this process. I agree with Ana and Dan. All we can do sometimes is wait. God Bless. (F)(F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

This is how rumors get started and picked up. Glad you pointed it out And and Dan.

Changing ones password on the USCIS website does NOT confer a "touch" upon you. I'd like to find out who exactly started this rumor.

Touches don't mean anything. There have been documented cases on here where the members had NO touches and they were eventually approved.

And then there are the cases where the member has been touched 10-20 times and s/he is still stuck in limbo, just waiting and waiting and waiting.

Bottomline, touches don't mean anything. Stop abusing yourselves by constantly checking to see if you've been touched and torturing yourself in the process.

Everyone, remember that A LOT of people get approved without a single touch, and that lack of touch doesn't mean they're NOT working on your case.

Just hang in there and allow the estimated processing time to wear out before you start calling your congressman.

dear VJers!!!!!almost 8 weeks now, since they received our RFE they didn't touch our case...what should i do now? somebody help!!! :help::help::help:

Based on CSC's recent track record (see link below), my guess is that most March, April and May NOA1's will get their NOA2's this month, if CSC goes in order and processes as many applications as in August (two BIG IF's). Be sure to check the link in the posting below. If you know how I can paste the charts directly into my post so that all can see it, please let me know.
