I just called today since my priority date is September 17. It was useless. All they did is make another service request. This will be my 2nd service request in 2 months. The last service request i received an email from nyc office stating to wait at least 3 months. It's frustrating now that i been waiting for 8 months. I feel bad for those whose priority date is in october or november. If September is taking long imagine all other petitions.

Hi Ronald q,

We are in the same shoe here. 8 long months of waiting...

My lawyer told me some of their clients applied in October 2010 already got approved.

Do you think it is possible or she is just trying to make me feel that I am the problem.

We call to the congressman's office 2 weeks ago and the first reaction they have is "Have you applied Green Card before?" which I did (From my former employer).

And according to them, it might be the problem. What about you?

*sign* Normally I wouldn't care about how long it takes since I've been married to my husband for more than 2 years and didn't attempt to apply for green card within those 2 years.

But now my father is sick and I really need to get home ASAP... that makes every single day so Painfully LONGGGGGGG.

Please keep updating your case so I won't feel so lonely. :(

Thanks.

No complaints here re: NYC. We flew through! Applied December 22, 2010. Biometrics in January, EAD arrived mid-February, AOS interview and approval (including passport stamp)in the very beginning of May.

All of our submissions were extremely thorough and organized. Tried to make their job easy and apparently it worked.

Background: AOS based on marriage to USC despite VWP overstay of many years and no I-94.

I am applying for my wife who overstayed. I have never petition for anyone and this is the first time. However i did received my residency from my grandfather who petition my mother back in 1996. I became a permanent resident in 2005 and a US citizen in 2010. I have been married for 3 years and last

year i finally decided to sponsor her. We have nothing to hide and is frustrating because i ahve not gone to my country in 23 years. I feel your frustration. The last 5 years i have had the opportunity to travel but its not the same traveling without my wife. Hopefully she gets her interview soon. i will definitely keep everyone posted if i hear anything.

No complaints from me either, re AOS in NYC. Similar to NYCSSN, I sent in a lot of evidence of bona-fide relationship with the I-130 (NOA1: 1/18/2011), and was very organized and thorough. Our interview was short and friendly. The interviewer said she saw no problem, and that the GC would be received within 60 days, though probably before. I am sorry to hear of all the people still waiting for an interview, good luck to all.

Those of you who filed in NYC and have already either received your interview appointment letter or had the interview and received a GC, could you update your timeline in your signature or let us know how long it took to get the appointment letter from when you filed. I have to travel abroad over the summer in July, and I'm trying to figure out what our chances are of receiving the letter before we have to leave. I doubt we will be having our actual interview before August at the earliest, but I would love to get the letter before we go. If not, a good friend has already promised to religiously check our mail every day and make sure that he informs us the minute the letter arrives.

We were applied in November 2010, and still waiting for an AOS interview date.... Today, I called to USCIS, and asked Representative for to be transfer to a second level Representative. So, I explained him our 485 file, and said that still have not heard anything. He checked our file, and said that he has a good news for us that they are working with our file right now, and we should receive our appointment letter for interview soon. Also, he said that we will receive our appointment letter 2 weeks before an interview. So, I hope we will receive it soon!!! If we will not receive letter in two weeks we will try to call them again. Hope it will help...I will keep everyone posted if I hear anything from them. Good Luck to all!!!!
