This entire process is so discouraging.

My NOA date is April 7th 2015.

Biometrics April 27th 2015.

Not only did I have to call USCIS multiple times and speak to a TIER-2 because my EAD/AP was not processed.

It finally got approved after 98 days when I demanded to expedite the case after the normal processing time of 90 days. Really, nothing is moving in this process. I am sure they do have a big load of documents to go through, but that is not an excuse to not handle it. There are many solutions to it.

It's been over 7 months now...if you receive a potential interview waiver letter, why not waive it right away? Obviously someone has looked at the papers. It's really painful and annoying.

Hey Guys,

We had our interview yesterday at the Long Island Office and we were approved on spot... I'm the beneficiary. Our interview was scheduled for 7:15 am we got there on time went through security, registered and waited in the lobby for about 40/45 minutes then the interviewing officer came to the door and called my name....we then went to her office...she had us swear to tell the truth......she started the interview by asking me my address....she went through the yes and no questions....how long we met....asked for our taxes...asked for pictures I gave her the album and she said just give me one picture but not the best one because we won't getting it back....we had our 4 month old with us and she asked for a copy of his birthday certificate....then she said your file looks good and I'm going to approve your green card, you will get it in the mail in 2-3 weeks...After we left we got updates on our phone for Card Production, then later another update saying Case Approved....Guys I know the process is a very long and stressful one but hang in there the day will come...Oh before I forget the interviewing officer was a very nice lady, pretty cool if you ask me....Thanks VJ, thanks everybody!!!

Also from New York!!! :goofy:

Filed in December of last year, interviewed in November (first week) and until now, no decision. They need to request a t-file from one of the service centers, which only God knows how long is going to take. Interview was smooth as in 3 questions asked, gave our joint bank docs, landlord letter, joint taxes and 1 picture from civil ceremony. Praying for a positive outcome to happen soon!!! :)-_-

What do you mean by "hard in the beginning"?

the officer was rude and impolite. with questions like: you have no baby-sitter? because she do not want my 1 year son at the interview. or why my wife need a translator if there are many english school?. but God, patience and cunning were my best tools. at the end we get the control of the interview, because at any time we do not show frustration or anger. we show all willing to collaborate. that was it.

Yea..... they tend to be mean, but in the end, you show them how genuine you are, they will eventually stop. Tactics, tactics, tactics.... :) I can't complain about my IO who joked around but I can complain now that he is not doing his job and what he said to us during the interview :joy:
